1. [player_tooltip player_id='56549' first='Brenden' last='Begeman'] - Herrid Selby
The season that Begeman had was nothing short of fantastic. He was an elite power rusher that could bulldoze through anyone in his way and it did not look like at any point in the season that anyone could slow him down. He can run through just about any defender that you throw at them, seeing countless clips of him bold those over linebackers and even defensive lineman options, it was just simply crazy what we saw with this town for the running back. he will be taking his talents to South Dakota State University where he will hopefully continue his running game which will translate well to college, with SDSU having a power-rushing game that we've seen in the past few years. Overall we saw one of the best rushing seasons in South Dakota football history and Benjamin placing himself on the all-time rushing leaders list, more than deserving of the number one spot

2. [player_tooltip player_id='273690' first='Chase' last='Van Tol'] - Tea Area
Santol was part of the three-headed monster of a running game that t had in its system and they just looked unstoppable at certain points this year. A big part of that is what he brought to the offense, being a mix of a dual-threat back to catch passes out of the backfield along with being able to Juke and outmaneuver anyone with his great footwork and speed that he has in his bag. Tea is always had a pretty run-heavy offense and vantil benefited greatly from this, but he also benefited from Catching short patches that he could turn into big games, whereas he could set up the play-action and Screen pass is very well or even set up his other teammates to give rushing attempts do 2 defense is being so focused on what he would do. not to mention he had a fantastic playoff run where he was simply unstoppable in everything that he did, it was just great to see him play at such a high level. fan to last a bush and self is 1/4 this year and is more than deserving of the number two spot.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='273693' first='Karson' last='Carda'] - Aberdeen Central
Start it was a prospect that I did not have on the top of my list going into this year but with what he did in the newfound Aberdeen offense it seemed to explode and take off, he truly showed himself as a top back in his senior year. she never truly got the opportunity to get consistent staffs in years past but witches we saw him explode, going off for multiple 100-yard games during the season and was a traditional power back that also had some insane speak to him, with some explosiveness coming out of the backfield that backs would love to have. once he was out in the open field, good luck trying the shopping he can accelerate so fast and it was just great to see if what he can do, not to mention he was an excellent pass-blocker being able to protect his quarterback and pretty much every single time there was a past leak if he was not out catching a pass. wow this is start as last year, he truly showed what he can do when he gets the opportunity and will be interesting to see if you continue this going to college.

[player_tooltip player_id='56546' first='Gavin' last='Ross'] - Harrisburg
Ross is a true definition of a versatile offensive weapon that can fit into any system in college, and it will be interesting to see how he will translate that. this year he had a season where he was a dual-threat both in the backfield and as well as catching passes, making him nearly Unstoppable once he got going, good luck trying to stop him once he got out into a full Sprint. Ross is an agile back who has Juke moves but also had other tools in his bags and his ability to use his footwork it fakes out defenders coming out of the backfield and avoid tackles for losses is simply too valuable to the game of the Hydra running back, and he was able to not have that happen to nearly all the entire season. his ability to work with his quarterback in this offense as a whole means that he will be okay with whatever role he was in and was truly a selfish player timer it was a great season and Ross slots in at our fourth spot from the list.

[player_tooltip player_id='56567' first='Nelson' last='Wright'] - Sioux Falls Jefferson
What a great running back should be is someone who can do any role that he's given in any given moment and there's not a player that fits that better than what Nelson write did for the Sioux Falls Jefferson team that won all this year. right with a consistent rusher that could you get 8 yards per carry on every single play and also catch passes out of the backfield to get downfield to set his team up with an offensive explosion that would come out I'm going off for big games either through the run or through the pass. it seemed at times like he was an unsung hero a team, not getting as much credit as his teammates but doing just as much production-wise, being a focal point of the offense and being mean to do that help the wind so many games this year. He was a great blocker and a player that was just selfless and every aspect of his game, just wanting his team to win more than anything Landing him at the Five Spot on our list
