<p>There are several running backs who have crossed the 1,000 yards mark after Week 9 of the regular season. The running backs are facing special defensive plays in attempt to slow them down. However, the talented running backs are having impressive performances each week. The listed running backs have surpassed the 1,600-yard mark in rushing yards and the 205-yard mark in rushing yards per game. I am reviewing the top five rushing leaders after Week 9 of the season.</p>

<p><strong>Mason Avery - RB, 6'0" 190, West Lincoln HS</strong>. Mason has run for 1,866 yards on 186 carries and 25 TDs. He is averaging 233.2 yards per game and is averaging 10.03 yards per carry. The recruiting interest is expected to increase for him.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='144932' first='Christian' last='Perris'] - RB, 5'11" 170 (No. 22 ATH, No. 177 Overall), Princeton HS</strong>. Christian has run for 1,751 yards on 179 carries and 26 TDs. He is averaging 218.9 yards per game and is averaging 9.78 yards per carry. The recruiting interest is expected to increase for him.</p>
