continued on Friday. A wide receiver turned running back, Fields put up another monster night on Friday with 230 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He’s been a special sparkplug with his breathtaking quickness and acceleration, bursting through holes and making defenders miss. He’s accumulated an incredible 967 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns through his last four games and should continue to be busy down the stretch and into the Class 3A postseason.
Jaiden Jones
Jaiden Jones
The driving force behind another key win for the May River Sharks on Friday, Jaiden Jones ran for 174 yards and both Shark touchdowns on 33 carries. He picked up his game as the night went on, powering past tackles with his hard-nosed running and strength. He’s a physical playmaker on defense and has a relentless motor to make big stops. Jones is a two-way star and will lead a dangerous ground attack that could make some noise in the playoffs.
Bradford Thompson
Bradford Thompson
Whale Branch will be relying on its defense to make a postseason run, and Bradford Thompson is primed for a special one after a dominant outing on Friday. Thompson feasted in the backfield, making seven tackles including three sacks in a victory over Branchville. Playing both ways on the line, Thompson’s strength and hustle in the trenches have been critical to the Warriors in region play. He’ll have to be on his best game Friday in a tough regular-season finale against Bamberg-Ehrhardt.
Dylan Clark
Dylan Clark
He had big shoes to fill this year, and Dylan Clark just keeps getting it done for Hilton Head Christian Academy. The junior quarterback outdueled John Paul II sensation Christian Tilton, completing 15 of 25 passes for 295 yards and four touchdowns while adding 91 yards on the ground with two more scores. He’s been thriving in Ron Peduzzi’s complex spread offense and has been delivering on the deep ball this year. With the emergence of Gage Zatalokin at wideout, Clark now has a complement of weapons that can do damage in the SCISA 3A postseason.
Braydon Dineen
Braydon Dineen
One of the most clutch players in the Lowcountry, Braydon Dineen came up aces again with the game on the line for a massive region victory over Colleton Prep. Dineen made his mark on both sides of the ball, throwing for 126 yards and two scores alongside a rushing touchdown. But he may have made an even bigger impact defensively, posting 10 tackles including two stops for loss and a forced fumble. With his elite leadership and athleticism, Dineen has what it takes to power the Beaufort Academy Eagles to a SCISA 2A title run.
