Because of this, we have taken some time to report on the leaders in kick scoring throughout the state going into week 8, just as we have the past few weeks, to give some more shine and attention to some of the more reliable and consistent groups of players in the state. These players face immense pressure, but tend to perform in ways that put up consistent points for their teams, while also putting their team as a whole in a great position for success.
Nolan Hauser

– Hough
We should not be surprised that Hough is continuing to perform at such a high rate. In fact, his performance and success has proven to be more than plenty of other state leaders in kicking points. To this point of the season, Hauser has already scored 50 points for his team, and has done so with an average of 8.3 points a game. With this, it can also be noted that he has hit 26 PAT’s, and has scored on a total of 8 Field Goals. His efforts have not been in vain, as his achievements have helped his team to an overall 5-1 record.
Brandon Bowman- Hickory Ridge
While 7 points may seem like a large margin, Bowman has scored a total of 43 points this year, and is not too far off from Hauser’s leading points totals for his team. So far, Bowan has hit 6 field goals, and has also scored on a total of 25 PAT’s in just 7 games. This, along with the fact that he has seen an average of 6.1 points a game, proving how consistent he is, is enough to show you that he is a huge part of his team’s success. He has proven to kick with solid accuracy, including from the hash, and has decent leg strength, and range as well. As he continues to develop in his follow through, and timing, we fully expect him to find his way on this list by the time the end of the season comes around.
Bryson Jenkins- Northern Nash
Only 1 point behind Bowman, Jenkins has had his fair share of success for his team as well. So far, Jenkins has totaled 42 points, and has scored on 4 field goals, and 30 PAT’s. This has resulted in an average of 7 points a game. As the rest of the season progresses, we believe that Jenkins will continue to have a high volume of success, but will need to be consistent on his kicks, and timing, to be able to continue to rack up points and keep up with the competition. We would also like to see him get more chances at field goals, as we believe he is capable of having more success in this area.
Connor Benito- Parkwood
Just like Bowman, Benito has already played in 7 games this season, unlike some of the other players on this list. In these 7 games, Benito has scored a total of 40 points for his team, and has been a big part in his teams 3 wins. Even despite what his team’s record may say, he is still a valuable player for his squad, and this can be seen in the fact that he has averaged around 5.7 points a game. In large, these points have come from both field goals, and PAT’s. Most impressively, he has scored on 7 field goals, which is not easy to do. In addition to this, his 19 total PAT’s have each been a huge reason why he has been able to achieve a total of 40 points so far this season.
Tripp Woody- Charlotte Christian
While Woody, and Charlotte Christian tend to fly under the radar at times, this has not stopped him from having a high level of success for his team. So far, after just 6 games, Woody has hit on 3 field goals, totaling 9 points, and he has been effective after each offensive score, as he has scored 31 PAT’s. In total he has scored 40 points this year, and has done so consistently due to the arc on his kicks, and the way that he is able to get under the ball. Moving forward, expect him to continue to be a constant for his team.
