I am listing the players who’s stat line stood out, who people recommended but most importantly, ONLY players who either I watched live or was able to watch highlights from their specific game. For the best chance to be featured, send me your weekly film on twitter. My handle is “@DevinRecord”, please don’t have any hard feelings if you weren’t included.
Cartez has been doing some amazing things on the field this year for Mariner HS, rushing for over 100 yards many times. He’s been featured in this series of articles already and deserves another mention for his week 6 game against Jackson HS. He ran the ball 19 times for 275 yards and 4 touchdowns on the night. His talents were on full display as he showcased his speed on the field every time he touched the ball. He gets through the hole extremely fast, evading tacklers at every level quite often. Williams will be continue to lead the team in the backfield as he gets touches throughout the end of the year.
Highlights
Jalon Blackwell
Jalon Blackwell
Jalon has gone under the radar all season long. The senior had a fantastic game week 6 against Kennedy Catholic HS. He showed off his agility and speed all night long, being able to bounce outside easily and out run most of the defenders if he has the edge on the outside. His juke move leads to quite a few missed tackles which also lead to big gains for himself. He finished the night with 155 yards and 1 touchdown on 7 rushes.
Jayden is arguably the best running back in the state and could easily be included in this every single week. Against Eastlake, Limar did what he always does. He rushed for 180 yards to go along with 5 touchdowns on the ground. The senior is as fast as anyone in the state, especially in the open field. He gets through the levels in a blink of an eye, often going un-touched through the first two levels. He evades tackles better than any other running back in his class to me. He showcases to everyone why he’s a Division 1 power 5 school talent.
Dylan Spicer
Dylan Spicer
Dylan had a fantastic game week 6 against Hoquiam HS. He’s played very good all season long, being the main running back for this Tenino backfield. Spicer is really good at hitting the holes that the offensive line makes very hard and effectively. Dylan shows great speed when he sees green in front of him, making a straight line to the end-zone. During his week 6 game, Dylan ran for 193 total yards with 4 touchdowns on 23 rushes. He’s poised to be a big part of this offense as they roll into the later part of the season.
Reid Tennant
Reid Tennant
Camas has bounced back in a massive way, winning their last 3 games, including week 6. Tennant, or any other running back for Camas, have big games in thanks to their offensive line which is always impressive. Tennant runs with confidence on the field, which helps him in many situations. He absorbs contact well, keeping his feet balanced as well. He ran for roughly 180 yards and 3 touchdowns over Camas’ win over Evergreen HS.
