Parker Polk
Parker Polk
Week 6 against rival Colleyville Heritage, Polk went for 191 yards on 36 carries and 3 touchdowns. He is a shifty and elusive back, who gets downhill really well. Uses great vision and awareness when running the ball, this is apparent by how well and quick he is able to change directions and keep a defender off balance. Polk also spends time in the slot position where he is efficient when needing to pick up yards in a third and long situation. Thus far, he has recorded 806 rushing yards, 113 return yards, 74 receiving yards, and 9 touchdowns.
Chase Brown
Chase Brown
Last weekend against Montgomery High School, Brown recorded 12 tackles, 1 hurry, and a forced fumble. He continues to stay consistent at the linebacker position on the Lake Creek defense. A 6’2 200 pound linebacker that has plenty of speed and awareness. Patient feet that allow him to read the play and enough strength to shed just about any block and get to the ball. Excellent size and frame to benefit any defense. Brown shows maximum effort on every play and makes sure he stays engaged in every play.
Shandon King
Shandon King
Against St. Puis X in Week 6, King was nothing short of impressive. On the ground he racked up 303 yards on only 15 carries, while also throwing 8 times for 86 yards. 2 passing touchdowns and 4 rushing touchdowns. He is a very versatile and speedy athlete with a high offensive IQ. This allows him to be beneficial on the ground and through the air. King and his teammates have found a way to put Bishop Dunne back on the map of powerhouse private school programs. We can anticipate big things for King and Bishop Dunne as the season continues.
Jae’Den Williams
Jae’Den Williams
Week 6 against Graham, Williams had an impressive outing. He notched 115 yards on 4 catches. At wide receiver Williams spends most of his time in the slot. A good route runner with decent speed, with running a 4.6 40. Soft hands and physical enough to fight for extra yards after the catch.Does really well at creating separation on the short quick routes with impressive sideline awareness. He shows flashes of versatility, spending time at cornerback and benefiting the Coyote defense.
Week 6 against Grapevine, Finley played a key component on defense with 2 hurries, 2 pressures, 6 total tackles, 4 of those being solo. He is quick off the edge with great technique that allows him to get around the offensive line and attack the quarterback. A strong and physical tackler. Sheds blocks really to provide outside and inside run support. He recently earned an offer from East Central University, but as the season continues, I think we can expect his recruitment to trend upward.
