The final week of the regular season is here and teams are trying to make one final push for playoff positioning. One game in particular will go a long way in determining how the pairings shake out in region 3-4A. Let's jump in:

Rock Hill (2-7 overall, 1-3 region) at Clover (5-4 overall, 2-3 region)

The struggles for Rock Hill continue in the 2022 season, as they fell to Blythewood last week. But [player_tooltip player_id='139293' first='Matthew' last='Wilson'] is a dynamic passer when he gets time to throw and he'll be looking to get it down field to Damaryion Pichardo. The defensive line will look to bring pressure with [player_tooltip player_id='997363' first='Landon' last='Armstrong'] and Justice Foster, who have been active all season.

Clover got back in the win column against the Yellow Jackets with a 30-15 win last week and their defensive line got in on the action. [player_tooltip player_id='997351' first='Jayden' last='Bryant'] returned a fumble for a touchdown, and he'll be looking to follow that up this week. Dion Brown and Jaylon Hoover are two guys you'll want to keep your eye on not only on Friday, but as we head into the playoffs.

Catawba Ridge (9-0 overall, 4-0 region) at Northwestern (8-1 overall, 4-0 region)

This is a game that many across the state will have their eyes on. The region 3-4A championship is on the line at District 3 Stadium. Northwestern has been rolling since the Week 5 loss to Gaffney but they had to fight to beat South Pointe last Friday night. That may have proven to be a good litmus test for [player_tooltip player_id='241044' first='Finley' last='Polk'], [player_tooltip player_id='146372' first='Elijah' last='Caldwell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='265222' first='Turbo' last='Richard'] with the Copperheads rolling in now. Ira Mister and Sheldon Crawford will present some challenges for the Trojan offense.

The Trojans' defense will face a physical run game with [player_tooltip player_id='262619' first='Tyler' last='Jones'], who may not wow you with his speed but certainly with his power. Tyler Fikis and [player_tooltip player_id='202755' first='Brandon' last='Raysor'] are starting to find their rhythm, but will it be enough to keep their undefeated streak alive?

Fort Mill (0-9 overall, 0-4 region) at Nation Ford (3-6 overall, 2-2 region)

It's the cross town rivalry that these two teams think about during the offseason. For Fort Mill, this is all about pride. They haven't won a game and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='471358' first='Isaiah' last='Haynes'], wide receivers [player_tooltip player_id='421255' first='Jason' last='Moran'] and Dylan Schaffer have all been bright spots in a few of the games they've been in. But can their defense come up with enough stops?

[player_tooltip player_id='91150' first='Carson' last='Black'], [player_tooltip player_id='1575429' first='Josh' last='Ameo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='154863' first='Jeremiah' last='Hailstock'] are all speedsters for the Falcons and we've seen growth from them as they have a chance to clinch a decent playoff spot. But first, they'll want to knock off the Jackets.

Indian Land (5-4 overall, 1-3 region) at Lancaster (3-6 overall, 0-4 region)

Indian Land fought hard, but came up short in a loss to Catawba Ridge as they have dropped three straight. But they still have a potent run game with Myles Stinson and [player_tooltip player_id='139305' first='Jaden' last='Singletary']. The Bruins also have an effective run game of their own with JaRon Stevenson and [player_tooltip player_id='1142778' first='Mikal' last='McCollum'].

South Pointe (6-3 overall, 2-2 region) at York (5-4 overall, 1-3 region)

How will South Pointe bounce back after falling to cross-town rival Northwestern last week? [player_tooltip player_id='91357' first='DJ' last='Barksdale II'] will be the first name that jumps off the page for starters to help in that effort. He had two pick sixes last week and took some snaps at quarterback last week. When you mix that in with Caleb Sims in the run game, the Stallions may look to play keep away. Trey Wagner and [player_tooltip player_id='998716' first='Dalton' last='Russell'] could also be big for the Cougars defensively.
