Prior to the season, we explored some of the top senior players at each position in the Puget Sound area. Now, it's time to go down to the junior level, where a lot of players are just first starting to get their first taste of starting action at the varsity level. There are a ton of guys all over the region who have impressed so far in 2022, and with their recruiting starting to pick up now that they are in their upperclassman years, it's been great to see just how many guys have been able to step up to the plate and lead their teams. While there are so many great quarterbacks in the Puget Sound, these five players have really started to make a name for themselves with their early season returns and will be in a good position to really shine in the latter half of their junior years.

Through 5 games, Schakel has thrown for 1,273 yards and 16 touchdowns on an astounding 73% completion, all while only throwing 4 picks. Schakel fits the mold of the prototypical pocket quarterback, but he has continued to impress week in and week out for Emerald Ridge. With offers from Colorado State, FAU, and Nevada already in tow, he is showing the entire region why he will play at the highest college football level in a couple of years.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["115345"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Quarterbacking the Monroe Bearcats, Springer has put up very impressive numbers to start his first upperclassman campaign which will certainly start to draw the attention of college evaluators. In the first five games of the season, Springer threw for 1,133 yards on an extremely impressive 74% completion rate, with 16 touchdowns sprinkled in there as well. He has also been very safe with the ball, with only three interceptions in his first seventy attempts on the young campaign. While Springer has not gotten any college offers yet, the attention will start to come if he continues his current level of play.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["115342"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Klein entered the season as one of the top quarterbacks in the region at his level, and the two-sport athlete has validated that with a solid junior campaign. At the midseason mark, the 6'3u0022 Klein has thrown for 710 yards and 7 touchdowns, helping to lead Liberty to a 3-2 record. A player of his stature will almost assuredly start to get the attention of college evaluators in the weeks and months to come, and if he can keep up his current touchdown pace, there will be a lot of very interested teams at the next level.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["158343"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Halfway through the 2022 season, [player_tooltip player_id='158343' first='Gunnar' last='Trachte'] has been on an excellent pace in terms of his touchdown to interception ratio, with eleven scores and only two interceptions in his first 68 attempts. His first season as a full-time starter has seen the 6'4u0022 Trachte put up numbers that could rival anybody in the region. As he continues to develop further into his role as a starter, I expect his stats to get even more impressive, and his frame alone will surely draw the attention of college scouts.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["158402"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Superales entered into the unenviable position of following up a national championship-level performance from former Graham-Kapowsin quarterback Joshua Wood, but he has done an excellent job of keeping the Eagles competitive in the region. Superales has stepped in and thrown for an impressive 7 touchdowns compared to 2 interceptions across his first five games, all while racking up 944 yards on a 65% completion rate. He has also been a major threat on the ground, rushing for 114 yards on 20 carries across the first five games of the season. Superales is a guy that should only continue to get better as he develops more in the starter role, and given his dual-threat nature, could be a guy to keep an eye on going forward.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"preview"} /-->
