Recruiting News and Notes 10-11-22

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are coming off a busy weekend of football both high school and college football is clicking on all cylinders. It was active recruiting weekend for many prospects across the Natural State this past weekend. Time to start our week with recruiting updates from across the state of Arkansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160007' first='Camron' last='Williams']-Wide Receiver-Gosnell-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='160007' first='Camron' last='Williams'] lines up all over the field for Gosnell. Williams has tremendous speed, and he is dangerous with the ball in his hands. Williams is dangerous on both sides of the ball. The Gosnell coaching staff does an excellent job of putting Williams in position to make plenty of plays. On Monday, Williams picked up a scholarship offer from Southern Illinois. Look for Williams to earn more scholarship offers over the next few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='392411' first='Carter' last='Nye']-Quarterback-Bentonville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bentonville quarterback is another talented signal caller for the Tigers. Nye has been lighting up the 7-A West over the past few weeks. He throws an accurate deep ball and knows when to escape the pocket. Nye had the opportunity to visit the Red Wolves of Arkansas State over the weekend. Nye is doing a terrific job of leading the Tigers and it would not surprise me to see them make a deep playoff run.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='465861' first='Jordon' last='Harris']-Tight End-Pine Bluff-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A prospect with serious recruiting momentum is Pine Bluff's [player_tooltip player_id='465861' first='Jordon' last='Harris']. Harris works at both the tight end and defensive end position and is a playmaker on both sides of the ball. He had the opportunity to visit Arkansas State over the weekend. On Monday, Harris picked up a scholarship offer from the South Florida Bulls. The Pine Bluff Zebra has had a strong season and scholarship offers are starting to pour in as the season progresses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='376929' first='Torren' last='Jackson']-Defensive Back-Watson Chapel-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='376929' first='Torren' last='Jackson'] is starting to be an extremely busy individual on his Saturdays and Sundays. Jackson has played solid football on both sides of the ball this season. He played extremely well against Joe T. Robinson a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, the impressive play has earned him recruiting attention. Jackson was able to visit Arkansas-Monticello over the weekend and has a visit set up for Lyon College this coming Saturday. The recruiting momentum Jackson has built is tremendous with several weeks to go in the 2022 season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='349870' first='Trason' last='Hunt']-Offensive Line-Bentonville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bentonville offensive is line one of the most talented position groupings in the state of Arkansas. [player_tooltip player_id='349870' first='Trason' last='Hunt'] is an offensive lineman that has a mix of speed and power that college scouts love. Over the weekend, Hunt had the opportunity to visit the Oklahoma State Cowboys when they took on Texas Tech. Hunt is another talented Bentonville prospect that folks are going to want to keep an eye over the next two seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='137780' first='Elijah' last='Hardin']-Offensive Line-Forrest City-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The state of Arkansas is having no problem producing offensive linemen that can play on Saturdays. [player_tooltip player_id='137780' first='Elijah' last='Hardin'] is another talented offensive lineman that can overpower opposing defensive linemen. Last week, Hardin earned a scholarship offer from Carthage College. The offer from Carthage College gives the talented Forrest City offensive lineman two and he has the potential to earn more over the next few weeks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='320933' first='CJ' last='Brown']-Athlete-Bentonville-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='320933' first='CJ' last='Brown'] has impressed numerous teams with his versatility. The young man can play all over the field. Brown can stretch opposing defenses playing the wide receiver position or pick up yards on the ground. Over the weekend, Brown had the chance to visit Arkansas State in Jonesboro. Browns is a prospect to watch out for over the next two seasons, he is having an extremely impressive 2022 football season for the Tigers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='135689' first='Carson' last='Morgan']-Running Back-Bentonville West-2023</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The talented Bentonville West running back has had an impressive season. The Wolverines do a great job of lining him up all over the field. Morgan is a running back that can cut it to the outside or run it between the tackles with equal effectiveness. Morgan committed to the Air Force Falcons on Tuesday. Look for Morgan and the Wolverines to continue to impress as the season progresses toward the playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
