6. Emmaus (8-1)
Mid-Season Standout
Jake Fotta
Jake Fotta
The list of talent out of Emmaus is long. I could have chosen several prospects, names like Mario Landino Mario Landino 6’4″ | 260 lbs | DL Emmaus | 2024 State PA , Elijah Fajardo Elijah Fajardo 5’11” | 175 lbs | DB Emmaus | 2023 State PA , Ben Mercado Ben Mercado 6’2″ | 290 lbs | OL Emmaus | 2024 State PA , yet I found it tough to not mention the lead man behind center that is steadying the offense on course. That being Jake Fotta. Fotta boasts a whopping 11-minute senior tape on Hudl, a tape that encapsulates his abilities as a dual-threat passer. Fotta’s tape starts off flexing his deep ball accuracy, his arm strength too, just in case you thought lowly of his arm talent because of his size. Throughout the tape, you’ll see him show off his knack for flare, Fotta is quite the improviser. He can create, as well as extend plays with his feet, looking to throw first but actively looking for running lanes if a throw isn’t on the table. Smart and aware football player, exactly the kind of dual-threat presence you want behind center. Fotta can legitimately beat you with just one aspect of his game, making him a tough quarterback to gameplan against, makes sense why Emmaus has been so tough to beat this year.
7. North Allegheny (8-1)
Mid-Season Standout
Checking in on Tyree Alualu Tyree Alualu 6’0″ | 195 lbs | LB North Allegheny | 2024 State PA and seeing much of the same quality linebacking reps that landed him high on our ranks last Fall. Alualu is going to impress you with his flash, speed, and attitude. He’s carved out a leadership role in the middle of this stout North Allegheny defense, he’s thrived in it. The junior linebacker plays with his head on fire, yet is controlled as far as gap integrity goes. An awesome tackler, form and mean, the energy he provides here is invaluable to the defense. He’s developing into a future college DB, so long as he continues on this path while continuing to develop his frame accordingly this off-season. Fun tape to turn on every time.
8. Harrisburg (6-2)
Mid-Season Standout
There might not be a higher riser from a sheer numbers perspective. Ameer Grandberry Ameer Grandberry 5’10” | 155 lbs | WR Harrisburg | 2023 State PA ‘s initial rank was a modest one, he’s well overdue for a jump up our boards. Grandberry has his hands in everything, a contributor on both offense and defense. You can align Grandberry at inside or outside slot and expect him to eat at the LOS or work the short areas of the field. You can align the senior athlete outside the numbers, where he can stretch the field and come down with some impressive catches. A weapon at Harrisburg’s expense. Where I think the young man might have a future is at DB. Love his temperament against the run from his safety spot, no fear in this kid who is willing to scream downhill to stop sweeps or outside zone runs. The tape displays his straight-line speed, if he can turn this into range and blend his already above-average hands, you could see him develop into a legit safety prospect for a program in need.
9. Downingtown East (7-2)
Mid-Season Standout
We already think highly of the junior tackle out of Downingtown East, ranking him as a top 20 offensive lineman in his class. That’s strong praise, yet taking a look at his full-season tape, I can’t help but think Adham Abouraya Adham Abouraya 6’5″ | 280 lbs | OL Downingtown East | 2024 State PA might be due for yet another jump on our ranks. Dominant run-blocking reps, this young man sets the tone of the game with his punishing reps. Let’s be real, I can find punishing and aggressive run-blocking tackles across the state, what makes Abouraya special is his development and advances in pass-protection sets. I had no idea this kid is as flexible as he’s showing on tape. He’s got the spring in his lower body that lets him absorb power up high. He’s got the feet and punch to deter speed off the edge. I’d love to see him line up across some of the best edge rushers PA has to offer, I think he’d hold up fairly well. Excited for his future.
10. Pennsbury (8-1)
Mid-Season Standout
The second time in a month or so that I’m writing about stud RB/LB Galamama Mulbah Galamama Mulbah 6’1″ | 200 lbs | RB Pennsbury | 2023 State PA . Pennsbury has made noise this year, largely in part due to Mulbah’s play. Any team that eventually lines up across Pennsbury in the playoffs, they are going to have to stop the freight train that is G Mulbah. Good luck to those in his way. Mulbah is one of the more chiseled and thick running backs in his class, his tape shows off his lower body strength in the trenches, practically dragging players for yards at a time. Awesome drive in his feet, equally as impressive balance when navigating through the trenches or cutting. The young man is a pleasure to watch live and on tape. I’m unsure of his recruitment but I’m seeing FCS potential at the very least, especially considering his size and front-seven reps on the defensive side of the football. Pay attention to this young man.
