He can catch passes out of the backfield, he can align inside at TE, run routes, and catch balls. Plugging in the tape, you get a sense of the player you're getting early on. I'm unsure of his size, which will factor into where he plays at the next level, I do imagine his reps at LB are good enough to have him recruited to that position. A diamond in the rough, Nyzir Lake is a name I will be throwing out to coaches this Fall, his tape might surprise some. We list him at offensive line, Lake is just as proficient along the defensive line as he is on the offensive side of the ball. His size at 6'3, 245-pounds insists that he might translate to the defensive side of the football. His Upper Merion tape has him alternating between TFLs and pancakes between plays. Hines wants to win with power yet is nimble enough to finesse his way through gaps if guards fall asleep. The discipline side of his game shows up in the run defense. He can be trusted to set the edge, stand up his matchup, or stay home against RPOs.
