6. Avonworth (7-1)
Mid-Season Standout
It makes sense why Brandon Biagiarelli Brandon Biagiarelli 6’2″ | 220 lbs | ATH Avonworth | 2024 State PA gets the hype he does when at running back or wideout. The kid is a special athlete, who can earn a coaching staff’s trust at multiple positions. It’s hard to not like the idea of the kid on offense when you see him hurdle kids left and right. I can’t help but love this kid at linebacker. His tackling technique is awesome to watch. More times than not this kid is stopping ball carriers in their tracks, his form doesn’t allow for many yards after contact if he’s involved. Biagiarelli’s athleticism and prowess at linebacker might have his cementing a future fit at safety. He can sniff out the run easily and can fly to the football. He’s got the ball skills to translate to the position. For now, Avonworth will station an elite backer in the middle of their defense.
7. Lancaster Catholic (8-0)
Mid-Season Standout
A new name to the site representing a school that doesn’t get enough love on Prep Redzone. Lancaster Catholic is forcing its hand, going 8-0 this season. Like what Warren is contributing to the cause. Warren is a new prospect whose tape is good enough to land him on our 2025 rankings when the time comes. It seems like his role continues to grow each week. Looking at his many tapes, they start off mainly showcasing his abilities in run support at safety, as well as reps on special teams. As the season progresses, you can see his role expand, especially on offense. The big wideout is smooth in the open field, showing off his gait and acceleration when taking screens to the house. He’s carved out quite the role for a sophomore on an undefeated team.
8. West Perry (8-0)
Mid-Season Standout
Tough to pick anyone else when even speaking on West Perry. Quaker would be the first to tell you, the undefeated start isn’t solely on his shoulders. That being said, Quaker is a legitimate player-of-the-year candidate. When I think of the elite dual-threat producers in the state, the first name that comes to mind is Marcus Quaker Marcus Quaker 5’11” | 170 lbs | QB West Perry | 2024 State PA . He’s got the West Perry ship on a steady course. Tough to keep count, I believe Quaker has accounted for 26 touchdowns this Fall, not counting the week that just passed. If I were to guess, he probably put up 3-4 in this last outing as well. I’m hardly surprised by anything this kid puts out anymore.
Highlights
9. Penn Cambria (7-1)
Mid-Season Standout
Vinny Chirdon
Vinny Chirdon
Vinny Chirdon is another new name, one that is producing on both sides of the football for Penn Cambria. A player that reminds me a bit of the aforementioned Biagiarelli, except with flipped roles. Chirdon puts together some solid linebacking reps, the young man is averaging 9.5 tackles a game. He sees through traffic well, he can sniff out the run early into a play. He’s a legitimate run-stopper who has a legitimate shot to play this position at the next level. I think Chirdon is a bit more special on offense. His reps at TE/WR look great. He can lead block and down or stalk block. He’s got a build that can move, at least at tight-end alignments at the next level. He’s got hands too, even some playmaking ability. Chirdon’s midseason tape had 6-7 touchdowns in it. Intriguing player.
10. Freeport (7-1)
Mid-Season Standout
The former PRZ Camp standout has been standing out at Freeport for yet another season. I can’t say I’m surprised. Ben Lane Ben Lane 5’10” | 155 lbs | ATH Freeport | 2023 State PA has his hands in everything, as we are usually accustomed to. The top 200 senior is a game shy of cracking 1,000 scrimmage yards on the season. The pure athlete has been disruptive at DB as well. Freeport is 7-1 and on the heels of some of the better programs in this class. More efforts from Lane will keep them in the discussion for the best team in 3A. His offensive production might stand out to some, trust me, check out his play at DB, it’ll impress you twofold.
