Despite the outcome, their were some standouts in Thursday’s game, and it is time we take a look at who made a difference for their team. Some of these young men will also be playing at the next level! They have the size, speed, and athleticism to be able to become true playmakers. Without further due, let’s dive in and analyze last Thursday’s night offensive and defensive standouts!
Darion Holmes: 6’3 190Ibs/WR/ SA Warren High School
Analysis: Darion Holmes is a true playmaker at the wide receiver position! He possesses excellent jump ball skills. Holmes also has very soft hands, and has tremendous run after catch ability. Also, this young talent has a very solid build, with a solid frame. He is very smooth running his routes, but will only improve the more he trains. Darion Holmes is a player to look for, and account for in the future!
Will Locke: 6’4 215Ibs/WR/ O’Conner High School
Analysis: Will Locke is a prospect to watch for in the upcoming future. He has a tremendous build as well. On the gridiron, he is not afraid to make contested catches. Locke possesses very soft hands as well. You can put him at tight end as well! When it comes to blocking, Will Locke does an excellent job at maintaining leverage, and keeping his legs churning! He has decent route running skills, but can improve with more emphasis on explosion and speed in and out of cuts. Look for him moving forward!
Elijah Realzola: 6’1 165Ibs/ WR/ SA Warren High School
Analysis: Elijah Realzola is a baller on the field! This young man does an excellent job at getting open and making great catches. His athleticism, along with playmaking abilities makes him a very dangerous threat in the open field. Realzola has really good hands, and is a good route runner as well! In the red zone, he is a reliable target on a consistent basis, because best believe, he will go up and get it! He will only improve as the season goes on. Watch out for him going forward.
Nate Robinson: 6’0 170Ibs/DB/ SA Warren High School
Analysis: Nate Robinson is a defensive back that caught my eye this weekend. He caught one interception and returned it for a touchdown. This young man is extremely good in zone coverage and well disciplined. He has shown great leaping abilities on the gridiron as well, and possesses soft hands for a defensive back. Robinson is not afraid to come up and make a hit either because he plays with a high motor, and makes plays for his team. He has decent speed, but it can improve with speed training. Robinson has flexible hip movement and a smooth back peddle to go along with it! Look for him moving forward in 2022!
Quincy Amos: 5’11 170Ibs/DB/ SA Warren High School
Analysis: Quincy Amos played a good game this past Thursday as well. On the football gridiron, he is always a threat on defense and on special teams. In the punt return game, he does a really great job fielding the ball, while using his ball carry vision to get up field and give a spark to his team. On defense, Amos does a good job staying in position with the receivers that he is guarding. He has good hands, good speed, and attacks routes at a very high level. His sense on awareness on the field is superb as well, knowing what’s going on, and locating the ball in the air! Watch out for him in the future!.
