The Klein Collin Tigers scored in the second but both teams absolutely exploded in the third quarter. But also the Klein Forest Eagles had a touchdown called back in the fourth.
The Tigers finished the game with a total of 378 yards of offense while the Eagles finished with 220 yards of offense. Klein Collins remains undefeated and the biggest players to take away from their side was the special match-up between Julian Benfi Jr. CB from Klein Collins and deep threat WR Jelani Watkins Jelani Watkins 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Atascocita | 2024 State TX from Klein Forest.
Julian took a ball from Jelani and came up with an interception while Jelani got his revenge with deep reception that he took into the endzone. Sr. MLB Gage Luellen has the vision of a seasoned vet and has eliminated false steps during gameplay. He along Sr. DT Johnavon Martin who is a tad underweight for the nose position but has the strength to compensate makes a great front seven duo; those two execute stunts and blitzes to perfection when playing off each other. For Klein Forest, the team struggled with penalties and allowed too many mid-ranged passes to connect.
But stand-out players were Jr. WR Jelani Watkins Jelani Watkins 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Atascocita | 2024 State TX , Sr. RB Parker Jenkins who had some explosive runs, Jr. OLB Robert Graves, and Sr. OLB Brad Spence. Along with always maintaining outside containment and having the ability to rotate to different sides of the field. This game was lost by Klein Forest due to penalties and unfavorable time management.
