Cedar Cliff vs Lower Dauphin

In District 3 we start off with Cedar Cliff and Lower Dauphin. The Colts are 3-3 on the season while the Falcons are currently 4-2, trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Colts defense this year has been up-and-down but will need one of their better wins on Friday night if they hope to pull off a victory over Lower Dauphin.

A District 3 matchup of the unbeaten, this one could be one of the best games of the week in the Keystone State. Elizabethtown enters the game with a high-powered offense averaging 40 points per game, Solanco is not too far behind either averaging 31.3. The key to this game will be Solanco being able to continue any offensive success they have in the first half into the second half. This season, the Golden Mules have dominated in the first half, especially the second quarter but have had their struggles in the second half. They won't be able to afford to do that against Elizabethtown.

District 4:

Shamokin vs Jersey Shore

Can Shamokin knock off Jersey Shore? It will surely be an uphill battle for the Indians. Jersey Shore is averaging 60 points per game this year while only allowing 60 the entire season on defense. Shamokin's defense this season hasn't been terrible but I'm not sure they'll be able to string together enough series on defenses to keep this one low scoring. The Indians' offense is only averaging 24 points per game this season and a matchup with this Bulldogs defense isn't exactly one you would expect a breakout performance against.

District 5:

Bedford vs Richland

Bedford took their first loss of the season last week and will now look to take down the unbeaten Richland team. A second loss for Bedford would be crippling to their aspirations this season while a win would reset much of the picture in the Laurel-Highlands conference and District Five. Richland has been dealing with some injuries and has been able to get by so far but this will be their biggest test yet.

Northwest Area vs Conemaugh Township

A pair of 5-1 teams will look to stay undefeated in conference play on Friday night. These two teams are rather evenly matched which should mean this one is quite back and forth, Northwest Area's defense has been stellar all season, will Conemaugh Township be able to find enough success on offense?

District 6:

Mount Union vs Bellwood-Antis

This game will come down to Bellwood-Antis's defense. The Blue Devils are allowing just over 10 points per game this season while Mount Union's defense is allowing about 28 points on average. Bellwood-Antis doesn't have the most high-powered offense which may allow Mount Union to keep this close but their offense may be facing their toughest matchup yet this season.

2025 LB Josh Ryan - Mount Union

West Shamokin vs Northern Cambria

Both teams here are looking to get an upper hand in conference play to keep their postseason hopes alive. It's an intriguing matchup, West Shamokin this season has a strong offense to go along with a middle-of-the-road defense. Northern Cambria, on the other hand, is led by their defense but doesn't blow you out of the water offensively. That could make this one a very back-and-forth game but also a rather low-scoring game. This one may come down to just one or two big plays.
