It's almost playoff time in the Lone Star State, and we've certainly seen our share of talent this season, with a number of players seemingly coming out of nowhere to shine on the gridiron. In this article, we take a quick look at some dominant dudes, some of whom have zero offers right now.

RB Deontray Scott - 6'2" 200 / Navasota -- @DeontrayScott3 (Class of '23)

Senior Stats (thru 8 games): 1,226 yards and 15 touchdowns

Scott is running stronger as the weeks go by. This past Friday night in a big district matchup vs Stafford, the senior racked up 184 yards and 2 touchdowns in a thrilling come-from-behind win. He runs a 4.45, is an every down back, and gets downhill in a hurry, exploding to the mesh point. He bounces off initial contact, makes his cut, and it's off to the races. What really makes Deontray special is his ability to also bounce it outside and turn a nothing into a something. He's got a pretty solid stiff arm and is a soft-handed pass catcher too. Can become an All-Conference player at the FCS level.

The late bloomer currently has no offers, but interest is starting to pick up. Mid-season highlights are linked in his Twitter bio. Check him out.

OT Hayden Gunter - 6'8" 255 / Denton -- @HaydenGunter11 (Class of '24)

A long, athletic tackle with impressive reach and above average footwork, Gunter has exactly what you look for in a prospect. I would like to see him play a little meaner, especially in the run game, but it's hard to not want to see more of the big fella in action. He excels in space, whether it be pulling or working his way to the second level. I expect his recruiting to take off this offseason.

RB KB Brooks - 5'8" 175 / Everman -- @ThaHumbleKB (Class of '24)

I see Brooks as a change of pace back at the next level. He lists a 4.42, and it certainly shows on film. Positional versatility is what leaps off the screen, as he can line up in the backfield or in the slot. The main drawback for a lot of Division 1 programs will be his lack of size, but there is without question, a smaller program that will hit the jackpot on Signing Day 2024.

DT Kevin Allen - 6'3" 280 / Everman -- @KevinAllen_9 (Class of '23)

Active hands, a quick first step, and elite ability to disengage are what make Kevin Allen a future college star. The reaction time is off the charts, and it's pretty much game over for opposing guards once he gets locked in. He can chase down running backs from the backside, shows great play recognition, and overall, just really shines on Friday nights.

The Bulldogs more than doubled-up Mansfield Summit Friday night and sit at 8-1. A deep playoff run is almost assured for this squad, so we'll see if Allen is able to snag his first Power 5 offer before the season is done.
