1. Lehi Pioneers (10-0)
The Pioneers are the only team in the 5 A classification not to allow over 80 points through 10 games. Lehi’s offense is loaded with talent like running back Carson Gonzalez, who has over 500 yards on the ground and 10 total touchdowns.
2. Timpview Thunderbirds (7-2)
The Thunderbirds have scored over 40 points in six games this season. Timpview’s roster is as good as any teams in the state, with players like defensive linemen Mote Mounga creating havoc for opposing offenses.
3. Standsburry Stallions (10-0)
No team in the state of Utah has scored as many points as the Stallions. Stasburry’s has some of Utah’s top playmakers, with defenders like linebacker Micheal Geovijan flying across the field to make plays.
4. Springville Red Devils (8-1)
The Red Devils surprised everyone by making it to state a year ago and could do it again in 2022. Springville is explosive on offense and defense. Defensives lineman Kinikinilau Fonohema is just one of three Red Devils with six or more sacks on the season.
5. Brighton Bengals (9-1)
In six region six games, the Bengals outscored their opponents 249-83. Brighton linebacker Miles Morgan leads a ferocious defense, while receiver Quincy Covington has been a critical piece on the Bengal’s offense.
6. Bountiful Redhawks (7-2)
The Redhawks started the season 1-2 but since have been unstoppable. They have gutted out tough wins with a potent defense led by linebacker Brigham Morrison and Kaden Mertz.
7. Park City Miners (8-2)
Park City got a resounding round-one win over Timpanogos in a strong showing in all phases. Running back Mason Grover was sensational on the ground rushing for 244 yards and two touchdowns in the 35-14 win.
8. Spanish Fork Dons (7-2)
The Dons have won their last five games and have one of the state’s top rushing attacks led by Joshua Buck. Defensive back Teni Worthen and Don’s defense have only allowed more than 21 points on the season.
9. Box Elder Bees (8-3)
The Bees picked up a round one win after a 75-yard punt return touchdown from Cole Mortensen lifted them to a 21-14 win. This week the Bees will be out for revenge as they take on Provo in a regular-season rematch.
10. Provo Bulldogs (6-3)
Provo scored 100 more points than their opponents on the season, earning them a round-one bye. Hutch Fale is one of the state’s premier linebackers and leads a Bull Dogs defense that has helped them keep some of the top teams in 5A in check.
