The Lakers came into the game 1-0 after an impressed 47-7 win in week 1 against Sterling Heights Stevenson. Both teams have the talent to score at any given play… so grab your popcorn and sit down for the show. Here's the game recap from this electric match up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harper woods started Friday's game on offense and it didn't take long for the Pioneers to find the endzone! On the 3rd play of the game, Junior QB, Stephone Buford JR took a zone read 60 yards for six, leaving the Lakers defense stunned! The Lakers offense said ”You want to score in 3 plays? We'll do it in 2!!” The first play of the drive WB's Senior RB, [player_tooltip player_id='243472' first='Kenneth' last='Jones'], busted a 49 yard run to set up the Lakers for a go ahead TD the next play. Harper Woods showed some life in their second drive but it ended with them getting stopped on 4th &amp; 1 and giving the ball back to the Lakers. Punts from both teams ended the following two drives, and ends the 1st quarter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>7-7 at the end of 1st.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To start the 2nd quarter the Lakers were in the redzone knocking on the door. WB's Junior QB, [player_tooltip player_id='249012' first='Reqez' last='Nance'], called his own number, 2 yards out, to punch it in for six! The Pioneers offense struggled in the 2nd quarter, punting the ball on both their possessions. Minutes before halftime, the connection through the air that the crowd knew was eventually coming, happened… Nance found his Michigan commit WR, Semaj Morgan for a 21 yard TD on a gorgeous post route.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lakers up 21-7 at half.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To start the second half the Lakers were on offense first and moving like a well oiled machine. Nance connected with WR, Dionte Pippen for a 15 yard TD, putting them up 27-7. HW first drive of the second ended with a turnover on downs, giving the ball back to WB who capitalized off the turnover with a 9 yard TD run from Grand Valley commit, RB [player_tooltip player_id='243472' first='Kenneth' last='Jones'].
