[player_tooltip player_id='22753' first='Sam' last='Beers'], Air Academy Kadets (RB)(Sr.)(42) – Beers was, without a doubt, the most dominant offensive player from last weekend and it's not even remotely close. In the Kadets' shootout 63-56 win over the Coronado Cougars, Beers almost single-handily carried the Kadets to the win over the Cougars. Looking at Beers' unbelievable night, he accounted for 381 yards rushing and 6 rushing touchdowns on 31 carries (12.3 YPC) while also adding 80 yards receiving and a receiving touchdown, on top of also passing for 72 yards and a touchdown. This kid put up 533 yards of total offense and 8 total touchdowns...as a tailback...that's just insane. When you put on the tape, you can see that Beers displays a very physical running style, supported by his strong core and lower body that allows him to power through smaller defenders and arm tackles with relative ease. He's an aggressive ball carrier that doesn't shy away from contact and often takes multiple defenders to bring him down. Displays adequate athleticism and foot speed, routinely pulling away from second and third level defenders if they take a bad angle. Beers is currently sitting at the number 11 spot for RBs and the number 62 player overall for the class of 2023, but I don't think this ranking does his talent and production any justice. To say he's an incredible player would be an understatement and he will be a rare talent to follow through the rest of this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='22744' first='Brayden' last='Dorman'], Vista Ridge Wolves (QB)(Sr.)(16) - Dorman is by far-and-away the best passer in the state and the Arizona Wildcats commit showed exactly why in the Wolves' 50-19 win over the Vista PEAK Prep Bison last week. Looking at Dorman's numbers against the Bison, he went 25 of 34 (74%) for 391 yards passing, 5 passing touchdowns, and a QBR of 150.9 while also adding a rushing touchdown on the night as well. When you breakdown Dorman's film, you can see Dorman is a tall, long-armed QB (6'5, 200 lbs) with a smooth, quick release that has excellent ball placement at every single level of the field. Strong armed passer that can hit every level of the field with little to no difficulty, forcing the defense to cover every blade of grass on the field. Intelligent QB with the ability to read the rotation of the coverage shell and identify the holes in zone coverage underneath. Displays deceptive athleticism when forced to scramble, consistently being able to pick up key yards with his feet. Shows outstanding pocket presence and enough mobility to avoid the rush and buy himself time to find a receiver downfield. Good accuracy moving out of the pocket and throwing on the run/off-platform with varying arm angles to get the ball around defenders. Like I stated earlier, Dorman is easily the best passer in the state and the blue-chip QB will look to finish his last season of prep football strong before heading down to Tucson in 2023.

[player_tooltip player_id='22764' first='Brandon' last='Hills'], Vista Ridge Wolves (WR)(Sr.)(7) - With Dorman having such a strong performance through the air, it's very fitting his favorite receiver from last week makes this list as well. The Vista PEAK Prep Bison had zero answers in their defensive backfield for the Washington State commit. Hills numbers show exactly the type of night he had, as he accounted for 190 yards receiving and 2 receiving touchdowns on 13 receptions (14.6 YPR) while also returning a punt for a touchdown for good measure. Watching Hills' performance on tape, he displays outstanding ability after the catch. Highly elusive runner in space that makes him tough to tackle in the open field in 1-on-1 situations, allowing him to be a dangerous receiver working underneath or the intermediate areas of the field. Consistent, strong hands in traffic and exceptional lateral agility in tight spaces make him a reliable receiver out of the slot. Good top end foot speed allows him to get past most second-level defenders and third-level defenders if the defender takes a bad angle. Displays excellent tracking ability on deep and intermediate balls. Tough receiver that isn't afraid of contact over the middle on short and intermediate routes. A versatile and well-rounded athlete that is a threat to create chunk yardage or a touchdown whenever he has the ball in his hands. It's obvious to see why Hills is a coveted prospect in this year's class and will look to finish his senior season strong before going off to Pullman.
