It was a back-and-forth game where St. Charles North was able to prevail with a 21-10 win. With that being said, let’s dive into some of the standouts from their Friday Night Matchup.

Collin Byrne
Collin Byrne
Mr. Byrne can shoot gaps disrupting plays in the backfield and he did so on more than one occasion. This young man also slipped blocks in his pass rush getting into the backfield to generate pressure on the quarterback. Both of these happen as he uses his hands at the point of attack. What I’m interested to see out of this young man for the rest of this season is how consistent he can be in this area.
Bryce Sanders
Bryce Sanders
Mr. Sanders is an offensive lineman that caught my eye during this matchup. His ability to deliver a strong punch at the point of attack showcases his aggressiveness as he gets after it each play. Upon doing so, he’s able to jolt defenders upright and device the defender out of the play creating running lanes for his teammate. His ability to block in-line is one to keep an eye on for the rest of this fall season and I’m equally as interested to see how his pass pro fairs. Twitter
Mr. Erkman can work both as a receiver and as a defensive back. Specifically, on the defensive side of the ball, this young man wasn’t afraid to go up for 50/50 balls on deep shots downfield. Using his receiving skills he was about to high point the ball forcing pass breakups. In run support, he’s also able to secure open field tackles on the perimeter. Keep a close eye on the University of North Dakota Commit this fall as he can make his impact felt on both sides of the ball. Twitter
Highlights
Andrew Beaudoin
Andrew Beaudoin
Mr. Beaudoin was getting his name called throughout the game on the defensive side of the ball. This was seen both by meeting the ball carrier in the hole as well as securing open field tackles for minimal gain on the play. I’m interested to see how consistent he can be here throughout he rest of the fall season. Twitter
Spencer Kuehl
Spencer Kuehl
Mr. Kuehl did a good job of flowing the ball throughout Friday night’s contest. What stood out the most was his ability to trigger downhill to secure open-field tackles in the flat. More specifically, how quickly he can transition from his backpedal to triggering downhill. I’m curious to see how consistent that translates to his pass coverage and breaks on the ball. Twitter
