The Aberdeen Central offense will be looking to their quarterback for a setup in their overall performance as a team. Hermansen is a mobile gunslinging passer, while being prone to the turnover, is known to air out to the ball and launch passes deep to receivers in the field. Hermansen works well overall with his team and can coordinate with them to see how they can function best with his offense. The entire Aberdeen offense as a whole has been slumping and struggling with trying to find overall consistency but that stats with the man behind the center. Hermansen has the talent and the ability to lead this team without a doubt, and he shown that he has the tools and skillset to meet those expectations. I think he will have a great game this week facing off against Sturgis Brown High School, where Hermansen will be able to use his IQ and overall efficiency to pick apart their defense.
Ben Brooks – Madison High School
Brooks is a dual threat and this week he will show his talents in full with his team facing West Central High School. Brooks is a mobile pocket passer who has great awareness of the pocket and can move around to always find a player who is open for him to link up with in the passing game. Brooks has IQ and great talent at his display but his main strength is his mobility as a whole. He can sprint off and run off from anyone that is trying to stop him at times, and he can show off his great speed when someone tries to pin him down, yet he always finds a way out of any spot that he manages to find his way into. Watch him this week to dominate on both sides of the ball both as an offensive threat to run all over and pass through the air, at an incredibly high level.
Sam Kooima Sam Kooima 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Lead-Deadwood | 2024 State SD – Lead/Deadwood
Kooima is a key piece for a Lead-Deadwood team that looks to him as one of the main facilitators for nearly all of their offensive production. He can do just about anything on the offensive side of the ball and I think this week we are going to see that on full display. Kooima works well as a traditional game manager style of quarterback who can maneuver and find the right pass to make. He always seems to find the right read to make and the right throw in every scenario, making his game intelligence that other QBs should be envying. Kooima is in a run-centric offense yet still finds a way to incorporate his passing and great offensive production at quarterback at pretty much every mark that he can throughout the game. Look for Kooima to be efficient and accurate in just about every aspect of his this upcoming week and see how well he can read the game that he is in.

– Beresford High School
VanOtterLoo will a player to star this week to watch for how well his team of Beresford has been doing. Like many teams, Beresford relies heavily on their powerful run to overpower foes and wear them down by the time that the game is over. VanOtterLoo in my view has all of the ability and skill set to be an elite dual-threat quarterback if he gets the chance to show us what he is capable of. VanOtterLoo is an extremely talented rusher who can maneuver and outwit defenders when he is juking them in the open field and having them looking frankly lost. Passing is where he needs to work on some areas, he has such great mobility and an arm that is simply a rocket, if he can work on making some better throws and reading defenses he will be a player that is very exciting to watch in and out. This week I think we will see him perform even better than last which was a step up from the first week, improving steadily as the season is going along. I would keep a star on him for a player that you will want to watch throughout the season to see how he develops into a talented dual threat at the quarterback position.
