South Dakota has some great teams playing tonight and with some players who are looking to give some great performances. How about we check out some players who I like going into tonight.

[player_tooltip player_id='56573' first='Blake' last='Thompson'] - Tea Area High School, WR/CB

Thompson is a great player on both sides of the ball and will be able to match up well with their opponent Aberdeen Central. Thompson is a great speedy wide receiver who fits in well as a slot receiver and can exploit defensive backs who try to slow him down. He can pick apart zone coverages very well and use that to his advantage to get open into the field. Not to mention, he can break off from man coverage and dust cornerbacks who are trying to jam him in press coverage packages. He will be a key factor in Tea trying to get a W over Aberdeen Central who has a tough secondary unit. On defense, he is a pesty corner who can stop wide receivers without as much using force, but instead using finesse moves to trap receivers into getting the ball thrown his way. Overall, he is a player who can do quite a lot on both sides of the ball and will be a player to watch for Tea.

Thompson Highlights

[player_tooltip player_id='56546' first='Gavin' last='Ross'] - Harrisburg High School, RB

Ross is a beastly power back who has gotten off to a great start to the season and I do not see that stopping with a matchup in Brandon Valley. Ross will have a tough time playing tough run-stopping defense in Brandon Valley but I think that Ross will be more than able to break through for a few reasons. To start, Ross is not stubborn in his ability to play running back and can adapt to his style of play to match up with the defense he is playing. Ross has the power and the agility to power through the Brandon Valley defense, and he can do that with his strong lower body build with his IQ. Ross has serious talent and is a blast furnace for an offensive that is looking to him to step up and perform at a high level. Watch out for Ross to run around and bully defenders in his way, and will be a piece that Harrisburg will be needed in a tough matchup with Brandon Valley.

Ross Highlights

[player_tooltip player_id='273639' first='Gabe' last='Tschetter'] - Sioux Falls O'Gorman High School, OLB/MLB

Tschetter is a versatile linebacker who can fit many of the needs that OG has. He excels best as an outside edge rusher who can overpower foes on the edge and move quickly past offensive linemen. He uses great swin moves and the ability to use his IQ to find holes and move around those who are trying to stop him. As a natural linebacker, this is where we see more of a talent come out with his pass stopping and run stopping abilities. He can stuff the run up the middle and make plays on the ball to stop. He can make plays when passes are in the air to either get to the pass or break it up to stop the offense in his tracks. Watch out for him this game to make some big plays and be a key player for his team.

Tschetter Highlights

[player_tooltip player_id='287016' first='Ty' last='Naaktgeboren'] - Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School, DL

Naaktgeboren is explosive and will need a defense that looks to him not only as a great player but as a leader. Naaktgeboren is a power-edge rusher and defensive lineman in general for his big frame and speed. Naaktgeboren will need to get the OG offense early and will need to make sure the quarterback in the pocket must feel his presence and that he is there. He will need to use all of the tools in his skill set in this game and be pushed to the throttle of his talents to help his team over such a big offensive force. Watch out for him to get some sacks and make some big plays for his team, Naaktgeboren is never one who likes to step down from the spotlight and will be needed to get a win tonight.

Naaktgeboren Highlights
