Nic Staffieri: QB / 6’2/ 195 lbs / Pleasant Grove HS Sr.
Staffieri is a lean muscular player with the athletic ability to play the position. Has good arm strength to go long and the accuracy to hit his receivers on short routes. Good mobility to move around the pocket and extend plays with his legs. Has poise to stay in the pocket and make plays against 4 -5 man rushes. Big contributor to helping Pleasant Grove to get win this past friday.
Chazz Hinckley: DE,OLB / 6’2 / 210 lbs / Riverton HS Sr.
Hinckley is an athletic player that plays with good burst to come out of his stance. Uses his arm length at the strength of the point and awareness to be a good edge defender against the run. Has good use of hands as a pass rusher wasting no time with the guy in front of him. Good ability to pursue and finish to the whistle. A physical tackler that can impose his will at the line of scrimmage and the open field.
Cooper Swasey: WR / 6’1 / 175 lbs / Payson HS Jr.
Swasey is an athletic player that plays with a good burst. Good field awareness to make big catches and stay inbounds. Good hands to catch passes and react/adjust to make difficult catches. Athletic after the catch avoiding tacklers to gain more yards. Swasey is Payson’s leading receiver going into week 6 with 34 receptions, 634 yards, and 8 TDs averaging 18.65 yards a catch.
Trevin Gates: ILB / 5’10 / 180 lbs / Pleasant Grove HS Jr.
Gates plays with good instincts for the linebacker position. Has good awareness to play in the tackle box. Good range to go sideline to sideline on outside runs. Shows good effort to pursuit to the ball being able to finish on every play. Has the ability to blitz showing good burst and speed to make the play. A sure tackler that can make the play in the box and the open field.
Thatcher Coon: DE /6’2/ 195 lbs / Pleasant Grove HS Jr.
Coon is a lean muscular build player that plays with good awareness at the line of scrimmage. Uses his length for separation allowing him to be a solid edge defender. Has a motor to pursue on the ball carrier. A physical tackler that imposes his will at the line of scrimmage.
