Arviso threw for 401 yards and 5 TD's Friday night against Valley Vista. He did an excellent job reading coverages and identifying favorable matchups. He played with solid poise and threw with a smooth release, and did a great job escaping pressure when the pocket collapsed to deliver accurate off platform throws. Loved his ability to adjust his arm angle on an RPO to a slant to pick up a big chunk of yards. I've been raving about Arviso all offseason and he's off to a hot start, as he deserves to see that stock rise barring his play continues along the same trajectory.

Malone threw for 384 yards and 4 TD's on a week 1 W over Poston Butte. Malone is a natural passer with a live arm and a lightning quick release. He did a great job spreading it around the field and taking advantage of those bubble screens to get the ball in space to his playmakers. He showcased numerous intangibles Friday night and is prone for a promising sophomore season.

Trigueros put up 364 yards and 5 TD's in his debut as the starter for NDP to beat the defending 5A champs Horizon. I really like what I've seen from him this offseason and week 1, as I think he's a D1 talent in the making. He did an excellent job with his pre snap read and his ability to quickly process coverages. Good decision making with good timing on numerous throws as well. He had an excellent throw on 3rd and 10 on a curl where he showed patience for the route to devlop, then finessed the ball in between three opponents for a 1st down. Very impressed with Trigueros after week 1, as I'll be making a trip to NDP to see him live somtime soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='110157' first='Adam' last='Damante'], ALA Gilbert North '23

Damanate continues to prove why he is one of the top QB's in the state, throwing for 360 yards and 4 TD's while rushing for 61 yards and 2 TD's on just 3 carries. Damante is definitely one of the most electrifying players in the state and a true gem for NAU as Damante has taken leaps each year. A true dual-threat and the biggest weapon in 4A should continue to put up crazy numbers, and has all the potential to lead ALA-GN to a state title here in 2022.

[player_tooltip player_id='110084' first='Richard' last='Stallworth'], Yuma Catholic '23

Stallworth is back on his grind after a 5 total TD opener vs Ben Franklin, which included him going 22/30 for 306 yards and 4 TD's through the air. He did a good job taking advantage of the cushion that Ben Franklin was playing to hit those field side out routes to get the ball in his playmakers hands. He threw about a 16 yard back of the endzone fade for six as well where he showcased solid timing, touch, and placement.
