Ash is off to a good start for his junior season. He led Independence to a 44-7 victory over Fauquier. Ash carried the ball 17 times for 266 rush yards, averaged 15.6 yards per carry, and scored 4 touchdowns. Ash , who is ranked as one of our Top 10 Running Backs in the state for the Class of 2024, finished his sophomore season with over 700 all purpose yards, 5 touchdowns, and was named Second Team All District.

Alec Marsteller
Marsteller finished his junior campaign with 659 rushing yards, 18 catches, 131 receiving yards, and 7 touchdowns. He started this season off with a bang, as he led Jefferson Forest to a 33 to 12 victory over Gretna HS. The senior back toted the ball 20 times for 216 yards, averaged 10.8 yards per carry, and scored 3 touchdowns. Marsteller, who also was a Phase 3 finalist for kicking and earned First Team All District honors as a punter, certainly is making a case as one of the top Running Backs in the District.
TyLyric Coleman
TyLyric Coleman
Coleman led Dan River to a 46-20 victory in their first game against Tunstall. The UVA commit led the state last year on the defensive side of the ball with 7 interceptions. This past weekend he dominated on the offensive side with 9 receptions for 205 yards, averaging 22.7 yards a catch, and a touchdown. Coleman is one of the Top 10 athletes ranked in the Class of 2023, and his ability to make big plays in every phase of the game shows why.
Aiden Grafe
Aiden Grafe
Spotswood finished the 2021 season 2-8, but last weekend would provide a different narrative for a newly energized Trailblazers team. Grafe led Spotswood with 8 receptions, 179 receiving yards, 22.3 yards per catch, and 2 touchdowns to lead the Trailblazers to a 23-21 victory over East Rockingham.
D’Myo Hunter
D’Myo Hunter
Hunter led Eastern View to a big win over Culpeper County last weekend. The Cyclones won 41-14 off of the arm and legs of the junior signal caller. Hunter, who spent much of his time on the defensive side of the ball last year, completed 11 of his 16 passing attempts for a completion percentage of 69 percent. He threw for 204 yards, 4 passing touchdowns, 151 Quarterback Rating, 10 rushes for 80 yards, and 1 touchdown.
