T'Auntre Week 2: 205 Top Dawgs

<p>This week is not only another week in high school football, but it is a week full of top dawgs in action throughout the state of Alabama. This week I would like to focus on some of the most elite matchups in the 205 (Birmingham,AL) . I have made my rounds to some of the top high schools in the area over the past few weeks, leading me to some extremely talented athletes. These athletes that I am about to display have proved from time to time in games as well as practice that they have exactly what it takes to be on top. So let's dive in to some of this week's top dawgs coming into week 2 of Alabama High School Football.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='216858' first='Jourdin' last='Crawford']</p>   <p>Crawford has gone into his sophomore season in new colors and with a new number for the 2022 season. Crawford's dominance has grown significantly during the offseason. Crawford has recorded some amazing numbers in week one, with 9 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 3 QB pressures, and 2.5 sacks versus Fairfield High School. Crawford will be taking on his former team this week, the Jackson Olin Mustangs. This will definitely be a highly anticipated matchup for Crawford. I've had the privilege of following [player_tooltip player_id='241436' first='D'Andre' last='Kirkpatrick'] Jr. throughout the beginning of the season, and I can tell you that this kid is putting up some massive numbers thus far. [player_tooltip player_id='241436' first='D'Andre' last='Kirkpatrick'] is coming off a very hot week vs. Hewitt Trussville High School with some "electrifying" stats. D'Andre has put up 20 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 149 kick return yards. D'Andre is flying around the field, making play after play, locking down receivers and diving in the trenches and on the outside perimeters. D'Andrere has a challenge this week vs. Buckhorn High School as he continues to fill in the stat sheets for the season. Dozier has committed to the University of Arkansas. Following his commitment, he has entered the season on top of the ladder. Dozier holds the #1 spot with 467 receiving yards on only 11 receptions and 5 touchdowns. He is averaging 42.46 yards per reception going into Week 2. Davion's speed, agility, and hand-eye coordination have defined him in so many positive ways. This kid is such an unbelievable receiver for Moody High School. According to some of his teammates, he is also a fearless leader on the team who leads by example. Will Dozier keep the #1 spot after Friday night ? Kareem Keye has shocked the whole 205 by leading the state in passing. Keye had been an undefined sleeper till today, when he shines in our book. Keye leads the state with 713 passing yards and 10 touchdowns so far in the season. Keye has been leading the minor high school to victory as they hold a 2-0 record going into a huge week vs. Mountain Brook High School. Mountain Brook High School comes into this game ranked 5th in the state of Alabama. Keye's aggression in throwing and running the football will ultimately lead him to success. Keye has shown week by week that his knowledge of smart plays will connect him to his targets on the field as well as trusting his offensive lineman to protect him in the pocket.
