Previous Match-Up: This is only the second meeting between the Germantown Mavericks and the Gulfport Admirals in their history. Last year was the first ever meeting between the two programs, and Gulfport took the win in that game 34-13. The game was close for one quarter, but the Admirals found their footing in the second quarter. After a 7-7 score in the first, Gulfport would find a way to score 27 unanswered points through the 4th quarter. Germantown is a completely different team from a year ago and I'm certain they are looking to avenge last years lop sided loss. This game will come down to who can keep the opposing teams offense off of the field. Both of these teams are coming off of their first losses of the season. With both of them looking to get back in the win column, these defenses will show their strength and fervor. Though the game will be a defensive affair, but I believe that Gulfport's offense will be strong enough to outlast Germantown. The Admirals will win 20-14.

Previous Match-Up: Two of the most talented teams within the Southeastern Pine Belt region of Mississippi (Laurel and Petal) face off in this interesting Week 4 contest. This game features many of the states top recruits set to face off in a battle that has been lopsided in the previous meetings. Petal is 5-12 all time vs Laurel. This year's match up will be a defensive battle between these two stout teams. It will be a low scoring affair controlled by the guys in the trenches. Laurel's offensive line has their hand full with that defensive front from Petal. I'm anxious to see how that group fairs against worthy opponents. Ultimately, whichever team's Offensive and Defensive Line groups play the best will gain the victory. Laurel will get the win 21-16.

Previous Match-Up: 27-20 was the previous score between these two teams in last year's contest, in favor of Grenada. This year will likely be simlilar in terms of the match ups and scoring, but the outcome will be different! Grenada is a 3-0 team that is rolling. The have a lot of young talent with a respectable defense to add to the mix. I like the Chargers over the Jaguars in this match up. DeSoto Central is definitely looking for revenge from last year's game, but Grenada is coming along as a complete team and this will bode well for them facing DeSoto Central. Grenada will win 28-13.

Previous Match-Up: Last year's contest between these two teams ended with the 5A State Champions receiving their only lost last year. D'Iberville defeated the Maroon Tide of Picayune 27-13 at home last year, but I believe this year will be a completely different game. Picayune is a loaded group that has aspirations of capturing another state title. D'Iberville on the other hand is a group that is coming off of two heart-breaking losses in the past two weeks. Both of their losses were by a single point to two of the better teams in the state, Laurel & Jefferson Davis Co. Those losses in those type of games that make or break a team's season, and I'm anxious to see how the Warriors respond. I see this game being a battle for 48 minutes, I give D'Iberville the edge over Picayune in this contest, 27-20.

Starkville (3-0) vs Louisville (3-0)

Previous Match-Up: This rivalry is one of the greatest in Mississippi History. Starkville and Louisville have met to do battle over 75 times in the two program's history. Starkville has won the majority of these match ups throughout the years, but these to teams always square up and give their fans a night to remember year in and year out. Last years contest was won by Starkville in a closely contested slug fest. The two power-houses traded blows all night, but in the end Louisville just didn't have enough to outlast the Yellowjackets of Starkville. This year will be a battle of the undefeateds, as both teams are 3-0 and loaded with plenty of talent. Louisville's defense has only given up 14 points on the season; however, Starkville has only given up 23 points. With that being said, this game will be won by the team that commits the least amount of turnovers and penalties and whichever defense can get off of the field on 3rd down. I take Louisville in a dawg fight 24-14.

Previous Match-Up: New hope handled Itawamba AHS last year pretty handily in their match-up 24-0. This year the Indians of Itawamba are hoping to avenge their only regular season loss and pointless game from last year. New Hope is coming off of a rough season last year with aspirations of changing their fate, beginning the year off 2-0.
