Mark this one on your calendar for the Game of the Week in South Dakota as we have two powerhouse teams from the Sioux Falls area go ahead to ahead with some talent that would make a South Dakota Pro Bowl team look bad. Let's breakdown some players that will be critical for their teams and what their keys to the game should be to secure this victory in the 11AAA conference.

Sioux Falls Lincoln High School

The Patriots have been rolling as the season has started and they look to keep that momentum as they go into a cross-town matchup with their rival in Harrisburg. One thing that will be nearly guaranteed is that this is will be a little chirpy and players will be playing with 130% effort as they go out there on the field. The Patriots will have to stay vigilant as they will be facing an all-out attack on both sides of the ball with a Harrisburg team that can and will grind out drives for as long as they can. While the offense will be needed, the defense is going to be a critical role in this upcoming game. The Pats have some pieces that I like and show why they have a unit that people should think twice before they try for big gains. [player_tooltip player_id='161258' first='Tyree' last='Shorter'] is one who I am looking to have a big game, he will be in some tough matchups with having to cover the middle of the field with some speedy and strong players but he never backs down from a challenge. [player_tooltip player_id='289612' first='Taylor' last='Quinn'] is another someone who is looking to lay the hurt down early and give the defense breathing room with the sacks and QB pressure that he can provide in just about every second of the game. The aspect that is great about him is he can make the QB feel make his presence no matter if he is in the backfield or seems in rushing off the edge of explosiveness. Isaac Carazo and [player_tooltip player_id='289593' first='Dayton' last='Griess'] are going to be some linebackers who I like to not only rush the QB but also give some needed coverage for a deadly passing game. Harrisburg is going to try to tire out the defense early and these two are going to be pieces needed to help them not get tired and turn the tide as early as they can in their favor. Everyone will need to be on their top games on the defense to stop an elite attack that they will be facing and if they can hold, I see them coming out on top. Their key to the game is to keep the Harrisburg offense on their toes with tight coverage and pressure and force them to play on their terms.

Harrisburg High School

This Tigers team has talent, chemistry, and some swagger that you just do not see with some teams, and they look locked in after a start to the year that they did not like. This Tigers team has just about any way to beat a team in the back of their bag and they know how to do that in such a polished, rarely do you see sloppy wins or bad losses when the Tigers come to play. In my own eyes, I view them as a Big Orange Machine who can work with their players and play them to the best of their talents but facing the Pats will be no easy feat and they need to get the offense going in a big way. When you have your offensive unit being studded by players like [player_tooltip player_id='56546' first='Gavin' last='Ross'] and [player_tooltip player_id='56553' first='Aidan' last='Foley'], points are something that you see roll in as the game goes on. These two, in particular, I like for a few reasons this game, mainly for their styles of play. Their talent intertwines on the field and that is because we see Foley laying down some good blocks for Ross and Ross doing the same for Foley. When the other is a focal point of the play, the other helps them in a way that you do not just every day. Being both great pass catchers for their positions is also something that gives the offense the ability to stretch out games and run some gnarly plays that would make offensive coordinators blush. [player_tooltip player_id='418215' first='Garrett' last='Lensing'] is someone else that I like going into this as a running back tandem with Ross, he gives Ross breaks when needed and gives his running power, which will be greatly needed to wear down a tough defense in the Pats. The receiving core is something that should be looking to exploit a secondary that has at times struggled to stop the big play that the team needs and one player I think who can do that for the Tigers is Skyler Hanson. I like watching his speed and his ability to adapt as the game goes along to find out where the defense is going to be and how he can adjust his game to benefit his team in that right. The key to Harrisburg in this game is to grind out possession and make the Pats work for every stop that they make, having everyone incorporated into into the offense will be needed to make this Big Orange Machine well oiled and ready to have the offense firing on all gears against the rival.
