In this game neither team back down on offense they just kept on scoring almost on every play. By halftime, both teams scored 35 points each. It was a close fight until the very end, but the outcome was an unbelievable score of 63-77 with Morton Ranch coming out victorious. No matter who won this game it was a spectacle no doubt and has to be some kind of record both teams scored 140 points total I have hardly ever seen that, especially in High School football. In this article, I’ll be discussing every player from each team that stood out to me.
Cinco Ranch Offense
#3 Seth Salverino WR Sr 6’1 190 lbs
I remember Cinco Ranch being run-heavy last season, but now they equally run and pass the ball. This led Seth Salverino to shine on Cinco Ranch’s offense. Seth is extremely fast with great hands and tons of tenacity. Seth wouldn’t make it easy for defenders to bring him down and fought for every single yard he could get. Seth currently has three college offers from; The United States Air Force Academy, Stetson University, and Army Football. Seth’s stats in this game was 9 receptions, 225 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns.
#7 Sam McKnight MLB, RB Sr 5’11 185 lbs
Sam McKnight is a force to be reckoned with. Sam was breaking tackles left and ring making long runs for a ton of gains. Sam was also a good receiver when he went out for passes that’s how Sam got most of his yards. Sam was killing it all night and showcasing his power and speed. Sam’s stats in this game was 7 carries with 33 rushing yards and 6 receptions with 60 receiving yards having a total of 93 all-purpose yards and 3 total touchdowns.
Morton Ranch Offense
#3 Santana Scott RB Sr 5’6
Santana Scott had an amazing game and was the MVP for Morton Ranch. Santana had the ball in his hands 31 times and every time he ran with it Santana left an impact. Santana was fast-fast he could not be touched and despite his small size was tough enough to power through tackles. Santana even at times lined up as the quarterback to do a quarterback draw and during one play Santana received a messy snap but wasn’t to recover break two tackles and run to the end zone for a touchdown. From this game, alone colleges should put Santana on their recruiting list for his tenacious play. Santana’s incredible stats this game were 27 carries with 215 rushing yards and 4 receptions with 85 receiving yards having a total of 300 all-purpose yards and 6 total touchdowns.
#28 Ryan Hall RB Jr 6’0 210 lbs
Morton Ranch has some amazing running backs in Santana Scott and Ryan Hall. Ryan just like Santana is incredibly fast but has a bigger build allowing him to break tackles and block efficiently. Ryan used his explosive power to break through the middle and dashed to the end zone. An extremely impressive performance by Ryan contributed to the huge point score of 77. Ryan’s stats this game were 16 carries with 150 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.
