LCA vs Calvert Hall was entertaining to say the least. A scrappy physical game with the big hits to go with it. Here are a few players that stood out from Friday nights match up.

Ricardo Cooper
Ricardo had an impressive early INT on the opp 8 yard line returned to about the 25, but the yardage was negated due to a blocking penalty during the return. With the ball in the air he squeezed down on the receiver right into his hip pocket and made a play, high pointing the ball. Cooper has tremendous speed and its shows on special teams. He had a field flipping punt return late in the game but that was negated by penalty too. Cooper is dangerous with the ball in his hands and has a wide coverage radius on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='90649' first='Noah' last='Brannock']

Brannock showed classic toughness leadership and athleticism and play making ability in the passing game. During the 1st quarter he gave a surprising hit stick block on a defensive end after a hand off. Noah is a competitor and plays all out until the clock hits 0. He is dangerous outside of the pocket not only because of his rushing ability but scrambling with his eyes focused down field. You never know what to expect when Brannock is running around outside the pocket.

[player_tooltip player_id='248642' first='Ronald' last='Anderson']
Anderson stood out on the offensive line. He showed some power and strength through the entirety of the game. He drew attention early in the game with a pancake and solid pass pro. Late in the game he showed some athleticism at pulling Gaurd on a few run plays. Keep watching Anderson, he had a game against one of CHC's toughest opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='968316' first='John' last='Asuquo']
CHC has found a solid 3rd RB in Asuquo to form a dangerous stable of backs. Both returning ball carriers [player_tooltip player_id='247270' first='Daniel' last='Harper'] and [player_tooltip player_id='247276' first='Dawon' last='Dorsey'] were sidelined by injury prior to Friday, leaving the Sophomore to fend for himself. John did just that full steam ahead. Asuquo ran with a chip on his shoulder fighting for extra yards and getting the tough yards when his team needed them most. Asuquo finished the game with 26 carries for 119-yards, very nice for the young back.
