Game Report: Lincoln Southeast At Lincoln East

<p class="has-medium-font-size">With Week 2 over we are starting to see more and more premier matchups across the state. One of these perfect Matchups is Lincoln East and Lincoln Southeast. This game has been back and forth for years. Both teams ran the ball extremely well in the first quarter and both defenses held strong leading to a scoreless first quarter. The second quarter was dominated by The knights with a mixed rushing and passing game. QB [player_tooltip player_id='250289' first='Owen' last='Baxter'] and RB [player_tooltip player_id='227023' first='Max' last='Buettenback'] helped push the Knights to go up before half Owen had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown to go up 14. During halftime something had awoken in the Spartans and QB Jeter Worthley went off rushing for a touchdown to get East back into the game. Worthley showed the power of a dual threat quarterback and showed his strength as a leader rallying in the 4th quarter. The Spartans defense held strong leading to a huge throw and an option touchdown tying the game 14-14. Lincoln Southeast would get the ball back and then their worst nightmare happened. [player_tooltip player_id='245869' first='Caden' last='Cetak'] and Ethan Harris tackled [player_tooltip player_id='227023' first='Max' last='Buettenback'] knocking the ball free for Will Potratz scooping it up. This would lead to a Jeter Worthely run up the middle to score a touchdown. With 1:28 left in the game Lincoln East would go up 21-14. Lincoln East had one final chance to set up a score, they lined up for a QB sneak on 4th and 1 but the snap was mishandled. Lincoln East would fumble it giving it back to the Spartans to end the game with the final score 21-14.</p>   <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>Top Players </strong></p>   <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>QB Jeter Worthley</strong></p>   <p class="has-medium-font-size">Jeter was one of the biggest cogs in the Spartan machine on Friday, He had 18/32 on completions for 200 yards. He had 9 total tackles 7 of which were solo tackles 2 were assists. He was at the top of the stats for the Knights having 10 total tackles 3 solo and 7 assists.
