Must See Players in Ohio:
DeAndre Hood, Toledo Waite, 2026 ATH | The great “Hoodini” is what we shall call him as he worked magic in a thursday night thriller vs Rogers. Hood led his team to 44 unanswered points in the second half and iced the game in the 4th with a Pick 6.
Hudson Devins, Berea Midpark, 2023 RB | One of the fastest prospects in the state and plays the game with an attiude. In Week 6 he rushed for 256 yards and added 4 touchdowns to his total. On defense he gathered 9 solo tackles and will always put on a show when the lights come on.
Logan Lesch, Sandusky Perkins, 2024 QB | Riding a wave of confidence and succes, Logan has found a way to win games for the Pirates. An emotional game will take place Friday night at Bellevue as the pressure is mounted as Perkins head coach and Redmen legend Jalen Santoro returns home for a battle of 5-1 teams. Logan is a gamer and this will give us a look into his grit as a leader tonight.
Mason Oliver Mason Oliver 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Elmwood | 2023 OH , Elmwood, 2023, RB | One of the most storied RB’s on Elmwood history has been a force for years now. Mason already has 1,100 yards on the season and you can include 13 rushing touchdowns to that as well. If you want to see a good rushing attack and a special player then Elmwood should be on the list of teams to see this year.
Connor Smith, Gibsonburg, 2023, RB | Mr. Football talks a slowly being whispered around the state and this is a name that will be mentioned. Smith has 1,600 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on the season. Connor is running straight into the record books as he is one of the top rushers in the country.
Jalen Slaughter Jalen Slaughter 6'0" | 155 lbs | QB Washington (Massillon) | 2025 State OH , Massilion Washington, 2025, QB | Massilion has been on fire lately and it’s mainly in part of the stud 2025 QB Jalen Slaughter Jalen Slaughter 6'0" | 155 lbs | QB Washington (Massillon) | 2025 State OH . We are watching him grow into a star player each week and we can’t forget about his favorite targer in Ardell Banks Ardell Banks 6'2" | 180 lbs | WR Massilon Washington | 2023 State OH . With the big win on Austintown, all eyes will follow Massilion the rest of the way out.
Shahn Alston, Painsville Harvey, 2026, RB/LB | One of the best prospects I’ve seen in the class of 2026 to get busy on the varsity level. Shahn has great size and football IQ which makes him very dangrous in open space on offense. When you see Alston lined up on defense just know that he knows how to lay the boom and plays well beyond his years. Special player to watch and I’ve become a fan.
Cadence Carswell, Anthony Wayne, 2024, ATH | Cadence is one of the premire football players in Northwest Ohio and more people will find out why in week 7. Carswell has been a force on the Anthony Wayne defense all season long and now he will get back to his roots and start at QB this week. Not sure how many people get to see a player go from the 0-Tech to taking snaps but this will be a big test as they take on their rivals in Perrysburg tonight. |
