Highlights
Moore was a turnover generator that made big plays time and time again against Aliceville. His nose for the ball and uncanny ability to get his hand on the ball made him a defensive standout in the state last week. Showed a natural tenacity and mentality to be an asset in run support. He showed he could get downhill, take solid angles, and make tackles in open-field situations. Moore displayed strength beyond his size when stripping the ball from ball carriers and caused two fumbles. Moore was also highly effective in against the pass, showed tremendous range, and could cover his half of the field. He did a great job of squeezing receivers to the sideline and forcing incompletions. This speed ate up space and provided no room for WR to get inbounds which negated several big plays. With forced fumbles and numerous deflections, Moore left his fingerprints all over the game. If he can continue this production, he could catapult himself into elite status as the season progresses.
Highlights
Kirkpatrick is a versatile safety who plays with physicality and can be a high-level playmaker in the secondary. He shows great range and can be effective against the run and pass. His speed allowed him to make plays sideline to sideline and always be near the ball. Kirkpatrick was also an enforcer in the middle and made some highlight-worthy hits that set the tone for his defense. In coverage, he stepped up and locked down the slot receiver with bump-and-run coverage. Does a great job of playing through the hands and creating incompletions. This versatility and positional fluidity make Kirkpatrick a weapon on the defensive end and one of the better secondary players in the state.
Highlights
Showed tremendous strength when working through blocks and generating interior pressure. The opposing lineman seemed to bounce off of him when he got into his bull rush and power drives. However, Fields showed active hands and won with combat consistently, generating opportunities to make plays in the backfield. When he is in the backfield, he shows solid closing speed for his size and an ability to finish plays off himself. He has enough strength to take on blocks and anchor the run game but is also swift enough to collapse the pocket and generate pressure in obvious passing situations. Fields also showed proficiency as an offensive lineman, which shows his overall football acumen and athleticism as an excellent two-way guard.
Kameron Kynard
Kameron Kynard
Kynard is a corner with next-level size and speed. He did a good job of limiting opportunities on his side of the field and kept catches and yardage to a minimum . He used his great closing speed when working in off coverage and rallied to the ball quickly in the short game. When playing vertical routes, Kynard flipped his hips and ran stride for stride with receivers while using his length to disrupt catches. With all the physical tools Kynard could emerge as one of the better cover corners in his class.
