South Pointe QB Malachi Marshall
Marshall has a rocket arm, and that was on full display in a 35-0 win against Rock Hill. He excelled throwing the ball up the seam and there was one throw for a touchdown where he sold the fake well to throw the touchdown. The Stallions only played one half of football as the game was shortened due to high humidity.
York T/G Ethan Brown & the Cougar offensive line
Brown was a critical piece of the puzzle in a 33-20 season opening win over Nation Ford on Friday night. He pushed people off the ball consistently. What was most impressive about Brown is how he stayed with his block on one play when the quarterback scrambled, which displays his hustle and effort.
*The York offensive line helped the offense put together two touchdown drives that consisted of 160 yards of offense, nearly 15 minutes of clock taken up with 30 plays run – and they were all runs.
Northwestern RB Turbo Richard Turbo Richard 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Northwestern | 2024 State SC
Richard’s 80-yard touchdown run was a huge assist in the Trojans’ 32-21 win over Clover on Friday night. Once he found an open hole, his speed took over.
Wando LB Mikey Rosa Mikey Rosa 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Wando | 2023 SC
Rosa was an impact player on the Warrior defense in 2021 and he picked up right where he left off on Friday night against Lucy Beckham. He can chase down the ball carrier sideline to sideline and is relentless with his pursuit, especially when it comes against the inside running game.
Aiken QB Mickenzie Atterberry
Atterberry impressed us with his ability to make throws on the run. There were several plays where he would find his receivers on roll outs. While they may not have been huge completions, he kept the offense moving.
