Marquise Henderson, Belton-Honea Path
Henderson had 204 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries, including an early 75-yard score and a 27-yard scamper with less than two minutes on the clock that proved to be the game winner. He played extensively on defense as well, breaking up a pass and notching a tackle on the last play of the game in the Bears’ 19-17 win over Westside.
Thomas Williams Thomas Williams 5'11" | 170 lbs | RB Powdersville | 2023 State SC and Eli Hudgins, Powdersville
The Patriots had unquestionably one of the biggest wins in program history on Friday, winning on the road at 2A No. 1 Abbeville. Williams had 11 carries for 116 yards with two touchdowns and had 93 receiving yards with a TD catch, and recorded an interception on defense. Hudgins threw for 273 yards and two scores, rushing for 80 yards and two more TDs.
Travon West, Wren
West was a special-teams nightmare for the Hurricanes on Friday. He returned three kickoffs for a total of 122 yards and a touchdown.
Blaine Simons, Daniel
Simons had his second huge night in as many weeks. He completed 19 of 21 passes for 285 yards and two scores in the Lions’ win, rushing for another touchdown.
