1. Skyridge Falcons
The Falcons continued their strong start to the season with a 42-0 win over East. Skyridge has scored over 40 in their first two games and held their opponents to just seven points through two weeks.
2. Corner Canyon
The Charge had the challenging task of traveling to Bishop Gorman and couldn’t hang with one of the top teams in the country, losing 42-7. Even if Corner Canyon makes it to state, Gorman will be the most formidable team they play all year, and no one in the state would have faired much better than they did.
3. West Panthers
West also traveled out of Utah as they headed to California to take on the reigning national champion Mater Dei Monarchs. The Panthers lost 42-0 but return to Utah for another tough matchup as they prepare for one of the premier teams in 6A.
4. American Fork
The Cavemen used a big second quarter to get a 48-22 win over Weber. With their matchup vs. West this Friday, American Fork has an excellent opportunity to jump into the top three and put Region 4 on notice.
5. Lone Peak
After being upset in week one, the Knights went to California to take on the Bishop Alemany Warriors. Lone Peak got the win 49-20 and looked strong on both sides of the ball.
6. Farmington Phoenix
The Phoenix held the Bountiful Redhawks to just three points in an impressive 24-3 win. Farmington quarterback Easton Wight led the offense to a productive night tossing two touchdowns.
7. Bingham Miners
The Miners also traveled out of state, heading to Nevada, picking up a 48-9 win over Manogue. Bingham moves to 2-0 as quarterback Dallen Martinez had three touchdowns to lead the Miners.
8. Mountain Ridge
It was a gritty, low, scoring game as the Sentinels took on the Granger Lancers. Mountain Ridge scored all ten of their points in the second quarter and held off Granger late to secure the 10-7 victory.
9. West Jordan
The Jaguars moved to 2-0 with a 34-0 win over Davis. Coach Halbert’s squad has scored 30 in their first two games of the season with a balanced offensive attack.
10. Layton Lancers
The Lancers jumped out to a 14-point lead at the half vs. Northridge before carrying that momentum into the second for a 45-28 win. Quarterback Tyler Wensel scored three of his team’s four first-half touchdowns, and Layton moved to 2-0.
