TN HS Football: Week Two Top Matchups

<h2>Several high quality teams square off against each other in Week Two and #PRZTN breaks down the top games of the week along with key matchups for each. </h2>       1. Baylor at Ensworth (Friday)   - D2-Class AAA showdown takes place in West Nashville Friday night as the #PRZTN #3 ranked team in Baylor comes to Middle Tennessee to face off against a talented, senior-laden Ensworth team that looked impressive in Week One. Both these teams have end of the season championship aspirations.    Key Matchup: Ensworth D-line vs. the Baylor O-line        2. Germantown at MUS (Friday)   - The Red Devils have a great shot this season at getting to Chattanooga but it's a long season with tough games in their way, including this one against a solid MUS team. This will be the first big test for Germantown and a game that if they win, gives them confidence going forward, competing against all comers.    Key Matchup: Germantown QB [player_tooltip player_id='302318' first='Isaiah' last='Tate'] vs. the Owls secondary        3. Briarcrest Chrst. at Houston (Friday)   - This should be a fun and interesting showdown as you have two highly talented teams that can put up a lot of points along with multiple college level guys going toe to toe. The road Saints may be seen as the favorite but [player_tooltip player_id='185564' first='Triston' last='Lurry'], Shawne Jones and others will have something to say about that come Friday night.    Key Matchup: [player_tooltip player_id='102179' first='Nate' last='Bledsoe'] and the Briarcrest O-line vs. the Mustangs D-line        4. Maryville at Powell (Thursday)   - This is the biggest matchup from the East Tennessee region in Week Two with two power programs going head to head but the road Rebels come in at 1-0 while the home Panthers must bounce back after a commanding defeat to Anderson County. Alcoa at Gatlinburg-Pittman (Thursday)   - Region foes meet up on the Mountain tomorrow night with the home Highlanders looking to pull off the upset against a stacked Alcoa team that is chasing after their 8th state title in a row. Pittman is legit and has some dudes that will be playing college ball one day but will they have enough to defeat the Tornadoes and take over the region? We shall see!    Key Matchup: Highlanders receivers, including [player_tooltip player_id='149163' first='Carlos' last='Orr'] vs. the Alcoa secondary        6. Farragut at Knox. West (Friday)   - Both the Admirals and Rebels come into this game at 1-0 and both teams have a roster that can go on deep playoff runs, so this matchup should be entertaining. Millington Central (1-0) at Munford (1-0) - Friday   - Most of the state may not know or think much about this game but people out in West Tennessee are well aware as is #PRZTN because both the Trojans and the Cougars were impressive in Week One wins which should make this an entertaining contest. Sheffield (1-0) at Christian Brothers (0-1) - Friday   - The first big test of the season for the Knights takes place Friday night against D2-Class AAA power in the Purple Wave and a game that could place the road on the map as a potential title contender. CBHS is coming off a tough loss but has enough talent to bounce back and beat Sheffield but the Knights have other plans and appear poised for this test.    Key Matchup: Purple Wave front seven vs. [player_tooltip player_id='200381' first='Mark' last='Joseph'] & the Knights rushing attack       9. Giles Co. (1-0) at Nolensville (1-0) - Friday   - If you're looking for points, this could be your game and the scoreboard could be lit up in different ways. The road Bobcats score by way of the ground while Nolensville likes to air it out with a balance of rushing, so the team's defense will be key towards winning this game. CPA (1-0) at Brentwood Academy (0-1) - Friday   - Two of the best teams/programs from the Private School ranks clash in Williamson County on Friday night with the home Eagles looking to bounce back after a one loss last weekend in Georgia.
