Who are now ranked among the best?
Prep Redzone breaks it down…
Jabari Jones Jabari Jones 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Westlake | 2025 State GA – Westlake
Moving up 21 spots in the latest update, Jones now comes in at No. 30 overall in the state and the No. 4 WR prospect. The Atlanta-area receiver showed lots of promise and potential as a freshman last fall, showing some explosiveness and speed to his game while making plays in a number of different ways. He can make plays in the quick passing game, on end-arounds, and has enough speed to get behind the secondary on deeper, longer routes. The 5-foot-9 170-pounder didn’t catch a ton of passes, but that’s expected to change in 2022. Playing for one of the top programs in Atlanta, it’s tough to find the field as a freshman, but Jones saw plenty of it last year, making 12 receptions for 270 yards and 4 touchdowns. He already holds early D1 offers from Maryland, Duke, Western Kentucky, among others. Look for him to have a breakout sophomore season this fall and be one of the leading receivers in Atlanta as a sophomore.
Edward Coleman Edward Coleman 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Calvary Day | 2025 State GA – Calvary Day
An extremely impressive young receiver from Savannah, Coleman moves up 8 spots in the latest update and now comes in at No. 28 overall in the state for the 2025 class and the No. 2 WR prospect. The 5-foot-11 180-pounder is an instant-impact receiver with a nice blend of speed and physicality. He shows the ability to make big yards after the catch and knows how to bounce off tackles for extra yards. He sure doesn’t look like a freshman on the field, and he made an impressive amount of plays for someone playing in their first high school season. He gets upfield quickly after the catch, he has good straight-line speed, and made plays consistently each Friday night. As a freshman last fall, Coleman caught 48 passes for 493 yards and 8 touchdowns. Look for him to have a giant sophomore season and see more offers come his way.
Jordan Allen Jordan Allen 5'8" | 170 lbs | WR Buford | 2025 State GA – Buford
One of the top young athletes in Gwinnett County, the Buford Wolf may be on the smaller side this second, but he’s a great athlete for his class who can make plays on offense, defense, and special teams. It’s tough to earn playing time as a freshman at a place like Buford, and while he didn’t play all season at the varsity level, Allen could have a breakout season as a sophomore in 2022, and that’s why comes in at No. 29 in the latest update. He’s a twitchy athlete and precise route runner with a lot of potential, and as he grows and sees the field more, could be a big weapon for the Wolves over the next few seasons. He’s quick, has impressive burst, and can be dangerous with the ball in his hands. This spring he ran a personal best 10.98 in the 100-meter dash, showing off his impressive speed and explosiveness.
James Johnson James Johnson 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Douglas County | 2025 State GA – Douglass
A precise route runner for his age, Johnson got open consistently for a freshman last year and showcased impressive ball skills along the way. The 6-foot-0 170-pound wideout can change directions quickly, shows good burst, and can get behind a defense before they know it. He tracks the ball well in the air and knows how to come down with a tough grab in tight coverage. He’s a natural receiver who runs well and looks for the end-zone each time he has the ball. One of the top young receivers in the Atlanta area, look for Johnson to have a gigantic sophomore season, proving why he already has multiple D1 offers after just one year of football. He’s now ranked as the No. 32 overall prospect in the state and the No. 5 receiver in Georgia for the 2025 class.
