Who are the top 5 prospects in Georgia for the 2025 class?
Let’s take a look…
Zayden Walker – RB – Schley County
Ranked No. 1 in the state, Walker is a dynamic linebacker who can also run through you as a running back. One of the top young athletes in the state, Walker has plenty of size and athleticism in his 6-foot-3 200-pound frame. A true game-changer on both sides of the ball, Walker absolutely dominated in rural Georgia this fall and has already become a nationally-known prospect. He’s incredibly quick and physical for his age and appeared to be playing on a different level all year. As a runner, Walker rushed for over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns. Defensively, Walker made 39 tackles, 16 TFLs and 4.5 sacks. He does it all for Schley County, and he made it look easy all season. The 6-foot-3 220-pounder also impressed in last December’s Georgia Elite Classic game where he came up with a big INT from his linebacker spot. He’s physical, instinctive, and has the look of a future All-American linebacker. He’s a fun player to watch, and he has 5-star written all over him in the 2025 class.
Juan Gaston Jr. Juan Gaston Jr. 6'7" | 330 lbs | OL Westlake | 2025 State GA – OL – Westlake
A giant offensive line prospect out of Atlanta, Gaston’s athleticism is easy to notice for a young prospect with his 6-7 330-pound frame. He’s a dominant run blocker who can overpower defenders with ease, but the way he moves and runs around makes him one of the most fun 2025 prospects to watch in the state. You just don’t see prospects with his size have that amount of athleticism. He’s a force at tackle with the length, power, and footwork to push for easy 5-star status sooner than later. Playing for an impressive offense this year, expect Gaston to give his Westlake team plenty of holes to run through this fall. As he continues to develop his pass protection, Gaston will be tough to beat for any defensive lineman over the next several years. Look for him to have every offer in the book when the time comes.
Ousmane Kromah Ousmane Kromah 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Lee County | 2025 State GA – RB – Lee County
Coming in at No. 3 is an outstanding running back with power and speed. Kromah was one of the biggest breakout running backs across the state last fall, and already looks like a D1-caliber back at 5-foot-11 180-pounds. The South Georgia back is a tough, physical runner who already looks like one of the best in the state. He’s built well, shows burst, and has a 2nd gear that will allow him to out-run defenders with ease as a sophomore this season. He breaks tackles with ease, shows great footwork, and can make defenders miss down thew field. He has some explosiveness to his game, but he’s a chain-mover as well, getting tough yards and running hard in short-yardage situations. Look for him to be one of the top-ranked 2025 backs across the country.
Antwann Hill– Houston County
A young QB to know out of Middle Georgia and the No. 4 prospect in the state, Hill is a 6-foot-4 205-pound dual-threat QB and really knows how to run. He’s full of raw athleticism and has the size and arm talent to make an giant impact over the next few seasons. He’s a very gifted athlete and is incredibly mobile. He can hurt defenses with his legs already, but if he can continue to develop as a passer and improve his arm strength and accuracy over the next few years, Hill could push for 5-star status in the 2025 class. He has the size, raw arm talent, and mobility to become a major QB prospect across the country for his class. If he continues to develop as a passer and grows as a quarterback over the next few seasons, look for the Houston County (GA) standout to be a household name in the recruiting world.
Elijah Griffin Elijah Griffin 6'5" | 270 lbs | DL Savannah Christian | 2025 State GA – DE – Savannah Christian
One of the top overall defenders in South Georgia, the Savannah native is an easy 5-star candidate in the 2025 class due to his size, motor, and explosiveness off the ball. He already looks like a D1 defender and had an outstanding freshman season last fall. He has great size and an excellent frame at 6-foot-5 270-pounds and can overpower older offensive linemen on a consistent basis. His length and raw strength allow him to get off blocks and he does a great job of closing on the QB. He’s quick for his size and he already knows how to deliver a big hit when he meets the ball carrier. Watching him play, you’d never know he was just a freshman, but he is. He’s totaled over 69 tackles and made 8 TFLs to go along with 3.5 sacks. He’s a prospect to keep a close eye on over the next few years and has 5-star potential down the road. The No. 5 prospect in Georgia also has a chance to be one of the top defensive line prospects across the country in the 2025 class.
