With that being said, there are talented young men on both teams and we’re here to highlight these young men. In this article, we’re going to take a look at Plainfield East Standouts.

Standouts
Mr. Parades is an up and coming QB that can make throws outside the numbers. His ability to throw on the run is one to keep an eye on this fall season as a majority of the snaps he took he had to work out of platform. What’s impressive about this young man’s play is his ability to extend plays with his legs. If the pocket collapse or a defender shoots through the gap, he’s able to escape and keep his eyes downfield. When he does so, he can keep the chains moving with a completion downfield – an area to keep an eye on closely this fall as at other times plays didn’t go his way. Nonetheless, as he continues to gain Varsity experience this fall look for him to take control of the QB position. Twitter
Mr. Jimmar is a top offensive lineman in the state and he put that on display Friday night. The Northern Illinois University Commit didn’t get the end result he wanted in the game, but there’s no doubt about his skillset. What stands out the most about this young man is his aggressiveness at the point of attack which he uses to throw defenders into the dirt. In pass protection, he can get set to block quickly and latches onto the rushing defender to tie up keeping the pocket clean. Switching over to run support, he can drive the defensive lineman down the line of scrimmage and into the dirt to cap off the play. All in all, this young man is here to protect Mr. Parades’ blind side the whole season and I look forward to seeing how he does the rest of this season. Twitter
Highlights
Mr. Morris is another up-and-coming Bengal that already holds a handful of P5 Offers in the BIG10. On Friday night, we saw flashes of the playmaking abilities that this young man has as the Bengal’s offense wasn’t able to get to full gear. Even so, the threat he poses running jet sweeps and in the air attack are going to cause defensive coordinators headaches. There’s a play below where he’s in QB scramble drill and he works back towards the ball to keep the chains moving. Overall, his ability to go up for 50/50 balls on deep shots downfield and be a deep threat in this offense is what you’re going to want to focus on this fall. He wasn’t able to capitalize as much as he wanted to in this game, but keep a close eye as I’m willing to say he’s going to turn heads this fall. Twitter
Mr. Callaghan took the switch to slot reciever this fall season and you can see why when the ball is in his hands. His ability to use his lateral quickness to turn the corner when running jet sweeps is one opposing defenses are going to need to hone in on. So much so that late in the game this young man was able to break a 58-yard run for six as seen below. He also flashed his ability to create mismatches in the air attack and had a few good returns setting his team in good starting field position. Twitter

Joseph Vasquez
Mr. Vasquez is a new player on my radar and one that I’m happy I got to see. This is what it’s all about, finding new young men to cover that previously haven’t had the chance to see. With that being said, his ability to make reads in run support and fill the gaps was on full display Friday night. There are countless times, like the clip below, where he would meet the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain on the play. Keep an eye on how he flows to the ball and how quickly he closes on the ball carrier moving forward this fall. He could very well see himself have a high production season when it’s all said and done. Twitter
Mr. Butcher took his first snaps with his new team after transferring over from Montini Catholic. With that being said, his ability to get involved in run support is one to watch this fall season. There are countless plays during the game where he came down in run support to secure open-field tackles in the flat and put his heavy hitting on display. Keep a lookout on his pass coverage as well this fall season as he has the ability to make plays on the ball forcing pass breakups. Overall, his best ball is yet to come this fall and once it does you’ll see why he’s a top defensive back in the state. Twitter
