Evan Haug Evan Haug 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2024 State SD – 5’11” 170lbs, DB/WR, Junior
Huag seems to be best at playing a defensive back role with his talent on that side of the ball being clear and present. Haug always seems to get passes broken up and tipped up into the air. Haug plays more like a box safety who is great in coverage, making him a very unique style of safety. He uses his lanky arms to get up close with receivers to jam them and make it as hard as they can to get anywhere close to catching the ball. Huag’s play is more similar to an elite coverage linebacker, rather than the idea of a traditional style of safety. As a wide receiver, he use his size and strength to overpower defenders to catch passes. He is a threat to always get the ball in his hand because he can use his juke moves and footwork to trick defenders and make them look lost.
London Kolb London Kolb DB SF Jefferson | 2023 State – 6’1″ 180lbs, SS/WR
Kolb hits hard and makes his opponents feel it. Kolb is a hard-hitting strong safety who does his job on the defense and even more. Kolb won as a Co-DB of the year last year, now going into his senior year, he is ready to tackle the mantle as one of the best players in South Dakota. Kolb has played MLB and FS safety showing his unique prowess to play just about anywhere on the defense within his skillset. Kolb is also an elite wideout who can line up just about anywhere on the offense too. He can line up in the slot using his quick speed to blow by defenders and get open. If you want him to line up outside to run an in-or-out route, Kolb is your guy. If you need an extra blocker on offense to open up the run, Kolb can do that for you too. Kolb is a true definition of a super utility player who simply get his team wins.
Nelson Wright Nelson Wright 5'9" | 200 lbs | RB Sioux Falls Jefferson | 2023 State – 5’8″ 196lbs, RB, Senior
Wright is a gritty power-back who loves to overpower any defender in his way. Wright is agile in just about every move that he makes and gets by just about any defender that is in his way. His short stature means nothing when stopping wright, he uses his strength to make the defense’s attempts to tackle him quite futile. Wright has talented footwork, to juke by defenders, showing how deep his true talent pool is. After playing the past few seasons at Sioux Falls Roosevelt, Wright will be playing at Jefferson this season. Wright will be a welcomed addition to an already deep and talented team.
Antuan Duran – 5’11” 250lbs, NT/G, Senior
Duran is a big-time player when it comes to offense and defense. Duran excels at playing a nose tackle role on the defense and can halt run games at a standstill. Duran stuffs the run any time it comes through and can overpower lineman. With the NT position becoming rarer, Duran is a top-tier talent at the position. He fills up any hole that is formed by the offense to stop running games and makes the offense throw the ball. Duran on offense can play an interior guard position. On offense, he is now a run stopper who can jam pass rushers and lineman on the inside to protect his quarterback. Duran is a beast on both sides of the ball, truly a great player.
