Seven of our ranked defensive backs are ranked within the top-25 players overall and nine are within our top 50. Let’s get right into our top five defensive backs in the class.
Felder starts off at the defensive back group. The Roman Catholic standout already has great size and length thanks to his 6-foot-1 frame. He shows an advanced understanding of the position and is a tremendous athlete. bonafide future Power Five defensive back as long as he continues to develop. Should be one of the top defensive backs in the state regardless of class this season.
Already holding an offer from Boston College, Mosley alongside Felder creates a dangerous and dynamic duo with Felder Jr. He plays bigger than his 5-foot-7 size thanks to his athleticism while also showing strong ball skills. As he continues to grow, only more offers will pour in for the Roman Catholic standout.
Highlights
Locks has great size at 6-foot-1 and 170-pounds while also showing strong fundamental base and ball skills. showed great instincts as a freshman as well. Has a chance to be the top safety in the 2025 class in the state of Pennsylvania. We’ll be looking for him to have a big season and offers should certainly begin to come in for the Simon Gratz product.
Looking to be the next great defensive back out of Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Thomas showed great athleticism and agility as a freshman last season and was terrific in coverage. We’ve seen Thomas in person a few times and have come away impressed each time.
Roman Catholic certainly has an embarrassment of riches in the secondary as Green joins Felder Jr and Mosley in our top five. Another young corner with good size as a rising sophomore at 6-foot-1. He already has a pair of early scholarship offers from Boston College and West Virginia.
