Pouha is a mauler in the trenches and wins with violence, initial strike and pad level at the POA in the run game. Although still developing, he shows quick feet, the ability to block in space and a nasty finish which is impressive for someone his age playing at the Varsity level. He still has room to grow but should be a interior player in college and was one of the top lineman for a top team in the Western Region in 2021.
’23 Carson Laybourne, Sandpoint HS
Laybourne is a big framed kid that is athletic, moves well laterally and can climb and block at the second level effectively. Strong at the POA, he takes good angles to defenders in the open field while finishing and creating immediate knock-back near the LOS when blocking down/drive blocking. Versatile along the line, he has good bend and gets out of his stance quickly while patient in pass protection with active feet and a strong base when anchoring. He is a no brainer next level kid that should continue to see college interest come his way through his Senior season.
’23 Cody Dickard, Melba HS
Dickard holds offers from Grand View and Knox College going into his senior year and is one of the top interior OL prospects across the region. He is a in the box phone-booth blocker that has a strong initial punch, good base and gets underneath defenders with bend and establishes immediate inside hand placement. A high IQ kid that can pick up pressures and combo to the second level quickly, he is one of the best center prospects across the state and should see other D-III+ offers roll through as he progresses through his Senior season.
