With 30 seniors on the 2021 roster and 20 of those starting for Everett in 2021, the senior-laden squad is now gone. However, this is a unique program in Massachusetts that reloads every year with unknown productive players that matriculate to the college levels upon graduation. This fall 2022 will be no exception. The Crimson are being coached by Robert DiLoreto, an Everett High School (EHS) graduate well-versed in the city’s long and proud football tradition, who was named head coach in 2021. He will lead a program that has been fielding championship teams for generations, including 12 Super Bowl titles and more than 260 victories over the past 19 seasons.
Team Overview: The 2022 Crimson Tide Team will be determined to live up to the winning standard it has instilled within the program every year. This program is always on track to make the MIAA State Playoffs and is tied with Leominster, Ma with the most state championships being twelve.
2021 Season Results: Everett (9-1) — The 2021 Crimson Tide team fell short based on their playoff loss to Methuen in the first round. The positive takeaways we are keeping in mind is Everett beat Xaverian at their home field to open the season. The year ended well, too, with a decisive, Thanksgiving win over a St. John’s (Shrewsbury) team that played well in the second half of the season. Everett also ran through the Greater Boston League schedule with ease. So we believe the 2021 Everett team, was a seriously talented team that just fell short but, in our eyes, still deserves heavy praise as always. So many seniors were in key spots. This team will restock the shelves and many new productive player names will be known by the end of the season.
Toughest Losses to Graduation: Moses Seide (DB) = Stonehill; Ismael Zamor (WR) Boston College; Nureini Mohamed (WR) Univ New Haven; Jayden Clerveaux Jayden Clerveaux RB Everett | 2023 State New E (RB) = Williston Hampton (PG); Syeed Gibbs (DB) = Univ Rhode Island; Jayden Biggi (OL) = Bently; Ramar Robinson (WR) = Missouri Valley College
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Ellerbe will be looking at a strong senior campaign. His film shows he can throw the deep ball with accuracy. Has command presence in the pocket and a great sense of knowing when to roll out to avoid a loss. Has a nice touch on the ball in shorter distances. He is listed as a dual threat and his Jr. film shows he is willing to take off with success if the play breaks down.
Pedro Rodriguez Pedro Rodriguez 6’0″ | 170 lbs | ATH Everett H.S. | 2024 New E is up and coming with an early projection to be a D1 prospect. He is a physical DB who seems to love giving a blow to any ball carrier. While playing the safety position he comes down hard for run support. Field awareness is present and he has a quick burst on his first step. Rodriguez is also a good kick returner and has long strides with next level speed. Had a very good sophomore season that should easily carry over into his Jr year. Good athletic skills with a very lean athletic frame. Hudl: http://www.hudl.com/v/2GVyQ4
Lamonica is a player who likes to give a pop on both offense and defense. This translates into his aggression being a goal he succeeds in every game. On offense as a sophomore in 2021, he was seen finding holes then giving a pop to the first defender in his way. On defense from the MLB position, he is seen sheding lead blocks and making a pop on the ball carrier that makes the stop needed. His continued development in the coming years will bring him to a college roster easily. HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/v/2GDprF
