Continue ReadingSt. Augustine (San Diego) offensive lineman Misael Sandoval Misael Sandoval 6'6" | 315 lbs | OL St. Augustine | 2023 State CA decided to stay local and announce his commitment to San Diego State last Friday.
He is 6-foot-6 and around 325 pounds and has one of the best initial punches of any tackle I’ve seen in the 2023 class. He moves very well for his size and when he does get beat by speed rushers, he uses his weight to slow them down.
Sandoval is the No. 14 ranked offensive lineman in the class according to the Prep Redzone rankings and I ranked him as the second best offensive lineman prospect in San Diego.
He chose San Diego State over Nevada and New Mexico State who also offered him. Seven of San Diego State’s 9 commits are from California and Sandoval is the second offensive lineman, joining Ryan Silver Ryan Silver 6'4" | 300 lbs | OL Serra | 2023 State CA of Serra (San Mateo).

He had offers from 15 other schools including BYU, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon, USC and Utah among others. He is the second offensive lineman in Stanford’s 2023 recruiting class, joining Luke Baklenko Luke Baklenko 6'7" | 300 lbs | OL Oaks Christian | 2023 State CA of Oaks Christian.

Angelo Rodriguez (Fairfield) defensive back Leroy Bryant announced his commitment to Washington last Friday.
He took his official visit to Washington on June 24 and it was his only official visit. He is the No. 95 ranked cornerback in the nation according to 247Sports and is not on the Prep Redzone rankings.
Bryant also had offers from Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and Utah among others. Washington has 10 players from California in its 2023 recruiting class. Bryant is the second defensive back in the class and the first from California.

Mission Viejo receiver Jackson Holman Jackson Holman 6'3" | 200 lbs | WR Mission Viejo | 2023 State CA announced his commitment to Arizona on Saturday.
Holman is the No. 19 receiver in the 2023 class according to the Prep Redzone rankings. I have him as a top five receiver in Orange County.
He is 6-foot-3, 200 pounds and I was very impressed when I first saw him at the Battle at the Beach passing tournament in Huntington Beach last summer. He has very good speed for his size and is on the 4x100m relay team at Mission Viejo. He has the frame to add muscle and be a tight end if Arizona wants him to and he excels at using his size to make tough catches in traffic.
Holman had a final three list of Arizona, Utah and Vanderbilt. He visited Arizona on June 3. He is the first receiver in Arizona’s 2023 recruiting class in the eighth player from California in the class.

Chaminade (West Hills) offensive lineman Aitor Urionabarrenechea announced his commitment to Colorado State last Friday.
I first saw Urionabarrenechea at the Giant Skillz National Showcase in February and shortly after at the Under Armour Next All-America camp. He was one of the best lineman from California I saw at the Giant Skillz showcase but he went against some weaker competition.
His hand placement and fast feet impressed me during the 1on1 periods. What impressed me the most about Urionabarrenechea was him always jumping in whenever there was a spot to get more reps. He is 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds and recently transferred to Chaminade from Alemany.
Urionabarrenechea also had offers from New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Texas State and Wyoming among others. He is the third offensive lineman in Colorado State’s 2023 recruiting class.
Gotta give my dad @Aitor09172597 one of his birthday gifts! I am proud to announce that I am COMMITTING to Colorado State University! #RamGrit @CoachJayNorvell @BillyBestOL @giant_skillz @CSUFootball pic.twitter.com/lSTSEgzV0o

Alemany left tackle Aitor Urionabarrenechea looked very good at the @giant_skillz National Showcase. Won most of his 1-on-1 reps and has outstanding hand placement. Guy is not being recruited hard enough. @PrepRedzoneCA @aitoru_56 @AlemanyFootball @Giantskillz_RML pic.twitter.com/xp4wqOwv4K
