Whether they blow up on the trail or the stat sheet, numerous prospects every year see their stock improve massively. For the 2023 class, it is now or never. These following prospects have been waiting in the shadows for a few seasons, and they are now ready to prove that they have what it takes to produce at a high level. Here are a few prospects from across the state that I believe will break out in a big way. [player_tooltip player_id="137483" first="Jeremy" last="Hecklinski"] - 2024 - QB - Walton Hecklinski has had an already productive career despite sharing reps with Georgia Southern QB signee Zak Rozsman. Now, under complete control of the offense, Hecklinski is due for a huge season. I was already high on Hecklinski after watching his film, but then I got eyes on him in person. What you don’t see in 7v7 is his ability to run and extend the play, but he still stole the show. Hecklinski does an outstanding job of surveying the field and going through his reads before making a throw. Because of that, he rarely puts the ball in harm’s way and is always making a higher percentage throw. He was one of the cleanest releases I have seen in person and can put some serious velocity on the ball. When you pair together his ability to survey the field and his arm strength, there is not a throw on the field that Hecklinski isn’t capable of making. With offers from schools like UCF and Georgia Southern to his name, Hecklinski has already seen his recruitment pick up on the trail, but I would expect plenty of other major schools to enter the sweepstakes before it’s all said and done.

Consider me a huge fan of 2024 Walton QB [player_tooltip player_id="137483" first="Jeremy" last="Hecklinski"]…
He has serious PO5 upside. Can make every throw on the field. Incredibly fast release. Offers from #UCF and #GeorgiaSouthern. If I was a fan of one of those two schools, I would be excited. pic.twitter.com/tMMYHaaEK6 — Connor Jackson (@ConnorC_Jackson) June 28, 2022
[player_tooltip player_id="339644" first="CJ" last="Wiley"] - 2025 - WR - Alpharetta Wiley has already solidified himself as one of the best 2025 WRs in the state and has multiple PO5 offers to his name, and he has done it without being a huge contributor at the varsity level. That is sure to change. At 6’4 and weighing in around 190 pounds, Wiley is not built like your average young wide receiver. He is an extremely physical receiver that knows how to use his size to his advantage, and he still has room to add a lot of weight and become an even better playmaker. Wiley is not just limited to his size. He is a fairly fluid runner that can make plays at all three levels, but his ball skills are where he really stands out. Wiley is one of the best jump-ball receivers in the state, and he does it with a unique combination of size and leaping ability. Wiley is one of the numerous big-time prospects in Alpharetta’s 2025 class, and once he hits the varsity scene, Wiley should blow up on and off the field.

Flight school.✈ We @AHSFootball putting in work @ @GeorgiaFootball 💪🏾 @AlphaProspects @JasonKervin @quonmarshall16 @StamynaSports @On3Recruits @RecruitGeorgia @coachAj_m @tballardqbcoach @BHoward_11 @CoachBmac_ @DellMcGee @CoachMikeBobo @KirbySmartUGA @lukewinstel @RWrightRivals pic.twitter.com/1zMQtpfvqQ
— [player_tooltip player_id="339644" first="CJ" last="Wiley"] (@CJWiley_4) June 24, 2022
JD Davis II - 2024 - QB - Grayson At times last season, the Grayson Rams were in need of a QB that could carry them down the stretch, and JD Davis could be that guy that helps Grayson win another state championship. After a Sophomore season at Warner Robins plagued with injuries, Davis should finally break out in a big way for the Rams in 2022. It is hard not to be high on JD Davis when you look at all the tools he brings to the table. He already has great size at 6’2 190 and has room to fill out nicely. Davis shows great mechanics in the pocket, and the ball flies out of his hands effortlessly. After two years of backup experience on varsity, Davis could run into growing pains as he makes the transition to becoming a starter. Still, someone with his skill set and potential will produce given the opportunity.

A few throws from the @TheMVPCamps , thank you for the videos @BrooksAustinSI ! @Mansell247 @ChadSimmons_ @Coach_FredM @RamsFBrecruits @JeremyO_Johnson pic.twitter.com/7pOPTnRhb7
— Jeff “JD” Davis II (@Jd_davis_) March 20, 2022
[player_tooltip player_id="126435" first="Trey" last="Jackson"] - 2023 - ATH - Mt Paran Christian Jackson is a receiver in a Wing-T offense, so showing off his complete skillset on film can be limited. Regardless, he makes it work, and on both sides of the ball. As a receiver, where I project him at the next level, he is an incredibly fluid route runner that can create separation with ease. He is a versatile weapon on offense that can make plays at all three levels. At 5’9 170, he might be considered by some as undersized, but he plays a physical brand of football for his size, almost like he has a chip on his shoulder. That physicality translates well to the defensive side of the ball, where he shows some serious man coverage ability and ball skills. While he has yet to see his recruitment take off, someone with his skill set and versatility should get his share of attention soon.

Top plays from my Jr season.
