The 2023 rankings were just updated and released https://prepredzone.com/oregon/rankings/2023-rankings/, listing the top 200 athletes within the state of Oregon. Over the next few weeks we will breakdown the positional groups and what each individual brings to the table. Have a look at the QB's.. *Athletes will only be listed on one side of the football QB's 1.[player_tooltip player_id="110171" first="Sam" last="Leavitt"] 6-2 200 West Linn (COMMITTED: Washington St)- I think it was a great decision on Leavitt's part as it relates to WSU. It's a good fit and he will get to air it out close to home. Expect the Lions to be the #1 ranked team in the state. 2.[player_tooltip player_id="110178" first="Jack" last="Wagner"] 6-4 185 Tualatin (COMMITTED: Idaho)- Wagner has had one of the most impressive off seasons of any player in the NW, landing a handful of division 1 offers. The Vandals got an early commitment from a kid who I could see being one of the best in the Big Sky. 3.[player_tooltip player_id="110242" first="Ryan" last="Oliver"] 6-3 195 Lakeridge- Look for Oliver to add multiple D1 offers before he is done. As referenced numerous times he is a year young for the grade, but will still be a three-year starter, throwing 29 TDs/7 INTs in the last 16 games. 4.[player_tooltip player_id="110187" first="Brock" last="Thomas"] 6-0 175 Sheldon (OFFERS: E.Washington, N. Arizona, PSU, AIr Force, Army)- This kid has been lights out, putting up unreal numbers as a junior 43 TDs (22 passing, 21 rushing). The 3* standout has landed 5 D1 offers in the last few months and is poised to be a conference and state POY candidate. 5.[player_tooltip player_id="110201" first="Hogan" last="Carmichael"] 6-5 200 Summit- Another kid who could land a few D1 offers before he is done. His size and mobility speak for itself, accounting for 24 TDs (19 passing, 5 rushing) as a junior at the 6A level with only 3 INTs. His 10.5 yards per carry average speaks to his overall athleticism. 6.[player_tooltip player_id="205816" first="Hunter" last="Borter"] 6-4 215 Beaverton- Borter has great size and showed flashes of promise as a Junior on a team which wasn't loaded. He hit on an impressive 65% of his passes, sitting among the state leaders with 1,890 passing yards and 21 TDs. 7.[player_tooltip player_id="157615" first="Blake" last="Baker"] 6-0 170 Clackamas- Baker is sneaky good coming from a football family and hitting on 19 TDs/2 INTs as a Junior. He will need to play well if the Cavs are going to make a run. 8.[player_tooltip player_id="270074" first="Camdyn" last="Stiegeler"] 6-3 210 Oregon City- Stiegler has legit size and had an impressive junior season earning 2nd team all TRL honors. OC returns double digit all conference athletes and looks like one of the most intriguing teams in Oregon. 9.[player_tooltip player_id="270087" first="Daschel" last="Smith"] 6-2 190 South Salem- As noted numerous times the Saxons bring back one of the better groups of skill position players in the state. Daschel has looked good over the off season, and returns after finishing 2nd in passing yards at the 6A level during the regular season. 10.[player_tooltip player_id="147249" first="Chase" last="Nelson"] 6-4 220 Central- Without Nelson it's possible Central doesn't win a game last season. The big athlete passed for 14 TDs & 6 INTs, hitting on 55% of his passes. Put in the right situation he has potential collegiately. 11.[player_tooltip player_id="376147" first="Shaw" last="Stork"] 6-2 180 Henley- The 2021 conference POY is an outstanding overall athlete who plays QB. He went for almost 1000 yards on the ground, averaging 9.1 yards per carry, while accounting for 29 total TDs (17 rushing). 12.[player_tooltip player_id="270227" first="Caiden" last="Lacey"] 6-4 200 North Medford- This will be a kid to watch, making the move to North after earning 1st team all-league honors last year at 5A Eagle Point. The Black Tornado has dudes and a line so they should be in the mix.
