Mehki Keller Mehki Keller DB Florence-Henry | 2023 State – Senior, 5’10″ 155lbs, WR/ST/DB, Florence-Henry HS
If you are lined up in single coverage on Keller my only advice to you would be, good luck. Keller can consistently burn his man on the offensive side of the ball. Fast, Fast, Fast is exactly what you get with Keller with his footwork and speed being off the charts. Keller can also lineup on many different places on the offense including not limited to Slot, outside, wildcat, backfield, and even on the line for putting him into motion. Not only is Keller a monster on offense but he is also amazing when it comes to special teams. He is an astute kick returner with the ability to find gaps and get through defenders on special teams to give his team amazing field position, setting himself up as well. Keller truly has an IQ off the charts on special teams with his blocking as well, he can always help his teammates any chance that he can get. Keller can also play very well on the defensive side of the ball with his ability to be a defensive back and cover all of the fields. Not to mention his ability to force fumbles and apply pressure on the quarterback when needed is also an invaluable skill.
Samuel Benson Jr – Senior, 5’9″ 158lbs, RB/DB, Parkston HS
Long runs and juke moves are the best way I can describe Benson Jr. His sheer quickness that he can achieve while getting off of the edge is something that many can claim to have skill. Benson has agility that is simply off the charts, he can move in and out of holes made by his offensive line at the turn of a button. He uses his smaller framer and agility to have some of the best footwork for a running back that I have ever seen. While he possesses a fantastic running ability, Benson can catch passes not only out of the backfield but catch passes way downfield. There are no short gains when it comes to Benson, he loves to work his way through defenders and get those big gains to get his offensive superb field position. That is just on the offense, Benson can also play defensive back to force fumbles and make quick tackles to stop big breakaways into the open field. The best trait that I see in Benson is his craftiness as a running back and his ability to never get tackled for a loss.
Cooper Fedderson – Sophomore, 6’3 195lbs, TE/OL, White River HS
While the other two players we looked at are some certified studs, let’s take a look at someone who has the potential to be an elite tightened. Fedderson is an elite blocker at the TE position, with his frame making it hard for defenses to get around him. The other unique trait that he possesses is that if needed he can shift onto the offensive line, allowing him to be a unique gadget player. Fedderson even for his large frame and big size can see some flashes of agility when route running. While Fedderson has not had many sanps where he was targeted, when got the ball thrown to him he did not lose the opportunity. If Fedderson can improve his route running and catching, we have a tightend who has the ability to truly be elite. Especially when it comes to 9-man football where every man on the field matters so much. Fedderson came into multiple double teams this past year and did not allow them to get by. If he develop an above average receiving game, we might just be looking at one of the next best TEs.
