The state of Virginia is one of the most talented states in the country and has a long history of producing dominant athletes in every sport, including football. There are numerous towns and cities across the talent-rich state including the larger metropolitan areas of Norfolk, Richmond, Northern Virginia, Roanoke, and more. Here is the Pre-Season Second Team and Honorable Mention Virginia 5A All State Offense.
<strong>Second Team Virginia 5A All State Offense</strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178504" first="Kevin" last="White"] | 6’ 180 lbs | Quarterback | Green Run High School</strong>
White is one of the top Dual Threat Quarterbacks in the state. The Green Run gunslinger earned All Conference honors last season and was also one of the top track athletes in state, running a 22.8 in the 200 meters. He currently holds eight Division 1 offers from programs such as Navy, Norfolk, Air Force, and Bowling Green.

Pearson has had a strong camp off season. He recently earned an invite to the VTO Sports All American Challenge after winning Top 5 QB honors at the Elite 100 Camp. North Stafford struggled last season, but Pearson and crew are looking to turn the program around.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="157085" first="Daeshawn" last="Nixon"] | 5’10’’ 175 | Running Back | Indian River High School</strong>
Nixon will lead a rushing attack that led the Braves to a 6-4 record last season. A huge part of the team’s success and a second round State Playoff appearance was attributed to the Indian River offense, which averaged a little over 24 points a game. Nixon was a key part of that success and is already making a name for himself within the state, as well as with college coaches. He holds three offers from, Campbell, Liberty, and Maryland.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="193636" first="Damauri" last="Palmer"] | 5’8’’ 175 lbs | Running Back | Green Run High School</strong>
Going into his sophomore year, Palmer is already off to a strong high school career. He is part of a loaded Green Run offense that averaged over 38 points per game, and led the team to an undefeated regular season before losing to Maury in the State Semi Finals. The young Green Run ball carrier already has offers from Marshall and Maryland.
<strong>Gabe Karstaedt | 6’ 170 lbs | Wide Receiver | Riverside High School</strong>
Karstaedt tallied a total of 880 Receiving Yards, 40 Receptions, averaged 22 yards per catch, and 9 Touchdowns. His consistent play making ability earned him 2nd Team All District Wide Receiver honors.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="368786" first="Carmelo" last="Taylor"] | 6’ 170 lbs | Wide Receiver | Patrick Henry High School</strong>
Taylor had a stellar season last fall and this past spring in football and track. He was named 2nd Team All RRD Wide Receiver, Honorable Mention All RRD Offensive Specialist, and 1st Team Region Wide Receiver. He also dominated on the track winning the Region Championship, for the second time, and the State Championship in the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 10.56 and 21.35 respectively. He has narrowed his commitment choices down to South Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Maryland.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="127632" first="Leon" last="Griffin III"] | 6’ 175 lbs | Wide Receiver | Bayside High School</strong>
Griffin is a Duke Commit, who can dominate on both sides of the ball. He won All Region Defensive Back and 1st Team All Beach District DB last season, but is also threat for opposing defenses when he is on the opposite side of the ball.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="293570" first="Tasean" last="Young-Stieff"] | 5’11’’ 155 lbs | Wide Receiver | Green Run High School</strong>
Youn-Stieff is an All State athlete who is also a two time All Region and District as a Wide Receiver, Kick Returner, Punt Returner, and All Purpose Player. He has a total of 16 offers from Penn state, Marshall, Marshall, Ole Miss, Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse to name a few.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="368773" first="Julien" last="Randolph"] | 6’5’’ 215 lbs | Tight End | Independence High School</strong>
Randoplh is listed as a Tight End, but has the athleticism to line up as a pure Wide Receiver. The recent University of North Carolina commit, is also a two sport athlete who is equally dominant on the basketball court.
<b>Shaun Sanders | 6’ 315 lbs | Offensive Line | Kempsville High School</b>
Sanders was named 2nd Team All Region Offensive Guard, and only allowed 2 sacks all season long. On the defensive side of the ball, he won 2nd Team All Beach and All Region honors as a Defensive Tackle and was responsible for 41 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, and 6 sacks.
<strong>Breon Brown | 6’4’’ 275 lbs | Offensive Line | Hermitage High School</strong>
Brown earned Honorable Mention offensive honors last fall, and was a huge reason why Hermitage had one of the best rushing attacks in the state last season. He currently holds offers From VMI and Emory and Henry.
<strong>Tkhi Alexander | 6’5’’ 330 lbs | Offensive Line | Highland Springs High School</strong>
Alexander and the Springers looked to replicate an offensive production from last year that averaged over 34 points a game. The big lineman will be a key part of the Highland Springs rushing attack.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="369336" first="Luke" last="Rogers"] | 6’3’’ 305 lbs | Offensive Line | Independence High School</strong>
Rogers is n Air Force commit who helped power Independence to a 7-4 season. A huge part of the Independence’s success was attributed to an offense that scored 25 points per game. Rogers, who was named 2nd Team All State, 1st Team All District, and All Region last fall, will be the anchor and a key part of Independence success at the line of scrimmage.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="127890" first="Jayson" last="Morgan"] | 6’7’’ 260 lbs | Offensive Line | Deep Run High School</strong>
Morgan was one of the few bright spots in Deep Run’s season last year. However, the 6’7’’ linemen, who recently picked up his first offer from Temple, looks to help the Wildcats turn the program around.
