DE Ralston Raphael, Menlo School 2023
Raphael plays all over the defensive front but projects as a defensive end in college due to his size and speed. He is a well put together strong kid with a quick twitch and first step explosion while showing an active use of hands to get off blocks and rush the passer. A high motor player, he can chase down ball carriers backside while a strong tackler in the box and creates immediate knock-back at the LOS when playing the run inside. Athletic, versatile and tough in the trenches, he can make a impact at the next level and will be one of the more active edge players across the Bay this Fall.
DE Kade Millard, Foothill HS 2023
Millard is a very polished pass rusher that wins with speed and leverage at the POA. A natural bender around the edge, he can quickly flip his hips and gets vertical in a hurry while showing closing speed and a good thump upon contact. On film, he shows quick block recognition while able to quickly defeat reach blocks/pulls and stick his nose in the inside run game. Still putting on weight and growing, he is a high motor athlete that should have a breakout season this Fall for one of the top D-II teams in the NCS.
SDE Robert Rooks, St. Vincent de Paul HS 2025
Starting both ways for the NCS D7 champs St. Vincent de Paul, as a Freshman, Rooks will burst onto the scene this Fall and be one of the more talented pass rushers across the North Bay in 2022. He is a very technically sound player with a variety of speed and power pass rush moves at his disposal while playing with violent hands in the run game and has short area twitch while creating immediate knock-back with inside hands at the LOS. He can play multiple positions along the defensive front and is in line for a breakout season for what should be a stout Mustang defense.
DE Michael Cooley, Bishop O’Dowd HS 2023
Cooley has nice upside at the next level as he continues to pack on weight and grow into his long frame. He is a rangy pass rusher off the edge that does a nice job at batting down balls near the LOS and using his length to keep blockers away from his chest. Off the ball, he has a quick first step and a variety of pass rush moves at his disposal emphasizing both his speed and length. As he continues to pack on more weight and establishes himself as an anchor in the run game, he will be a very intriguing player to look at at the next level.
DE Charlie Seymour, Marin Catholic HS 2024
Seymour is one of the best kept secrets along the defensive line across the Bay Area and has elite size and length for the position and will only continue to grow and pack on more weight as he progresses through high school. On film, he flashes good initial explosion off the ball while winning at the POA with his length and quick use of hands while able to bend around the edge and get underneath blockers punches in pass protection. A high motor kid, he scrapes down the line and can blow up pullers and chase down quarterbacks in the open field while bringing a very nice thump at contact when collapsing the pocket.
